Hello 240W,
I copied your post to here so you would meet more of the members.  Welcome to HealingWell and the A & P Forum.  We are very glad to have you with us.
I was once in your position of caring for my Mother after my Father died and she lived 100 miles away so I understand some of what you are going through.
Stick with us and again a warm welcome.

:-)  H everyone. I am240w. I have had panic disorder for 20 years, and I'm still around having good days and bad. Today I go for an appointment for assistance and will get training for a new career. I am anxious about driving into the city so I'll be driven. Their is a lot on my plate right now and I'm looking after an elderly parent. It is hard to get people to understand my condition- sometimes I feel completely paralyzed with worry. I am still looking for soluyions.

240w, I am so glad that you have posted here.  I wish you all the very best with your new career, I'm glad you have people looking out for you.  Know that we understand anxiety here, you don't need to explain ok? I look forward to getting to know you better.  Hugs.

240w,

I posted in the other thread in reply to you also. Just wondering how your appointment went and hoping that you got some good leads and advice for your career.

Hi 240W.  I'm so glad to hear you're changing careers!  I would love to do that right now.  I love animals and would love to work at the local Zoo.  My husband supports me to get out of my current job so I hope that someday, a job will open up for me.  What are you changing to and from?

I live in the Houston area and drive into downtown Houston every day.  I used to dread it because of the traffic and all the crazy drivers.  I finally just did it enough that I got used to it and it doesn't phase me anymore.  I tell you, though, I was a nervous wreck for awhile in the beginning.

If you choose not to drive, is there a bus route you could take?  A lot of my coworkers don't like to drive into the city so they take the bus.
