I'm high anxiety today at the thought of having the stitches out and is it gonna hurt when I put my foot down without the boot on but am very happy that my stitches will come out tomorrow and from what the nurse said I will be able to get my foot wet which means standing up showers again - YIPPEE, YIPPEEE, YAHOO.  In approximately 28 hours and 8 minutes they will be out (but, really, whose counting down - ME).  Just wanted to share my anxiety and excitement that this phase is almost over and I can move to the next phase of this recovery.  I couldn't have made it thru this without the help of all of you here.  Thanks sooooo much.  :-) :-) :-)

Yippy!!!

Oh I know you must be sooo happy at the thought of a stand up shower!!! I would be!
Just keep thinking about being able to get that foot wet! You'll do fine!
Good luck!

Diane,

Add some anticipatory happiness to your anticipatory anxiety, because the thought of a nice stand-up shower and no boot to sleep in sounds great! Even if the stitches hurt coming out, remember that it will only be for a very short time. My young nephew had some in his head once, and I don't recall him saying that it hurt to remove them, only to get them.

Keep us posted! I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts and prayers tomorrow!

Love,
percycat

You will tolerate the removal of the stitiches removal well so not to worry and your foot will do very well.

I have stitiches in to of my surgical sites but other 2 are open wounds.

I wish you luck and hugs galore.
