Sydnee

When I am in the midst of anxiety, I feel it most in my chest.  Like someone is kicking me there.

I also get upper right abdominal pain.  I have not had it medically checked out yet but I think it's my gallbladder or liver, irritated by the Depakote I take.  I will see a medical doctor about this soon.

Krista,

The pain stopped. After posting,I talked with a Woman in Town and she told me there is a Stomach Flu going around. It starts out with cramps.

Sometimes it feels like something heavy is laying on my Chest.I hope you feel better.

Sydnee,

You are ok, and I am glad to hear your pain stopped.  Sometimes we do not realize we are stressing and just assume it is a physical problem.

Rractice the deep breathing exercises and staying in the moment.

Take care

Sydnee,

I hope it's not a tummy bug! Urk! I have IBS so when I am anxious my stomach and abdomen/bowels all start doing the crazy dance. I put a heat pack on and drink some water until it passes. Hope the pain stays away! And the bugs...

Kitt,
Thanks..the pain hasn't returned,so am happy.I've done a couple searches on Stress symptoms, and was shocked to read that Hunger pains,Post-Nasal drip,Sneezing,Earache and Hearing loss are symptoms of Stress.I guess Stress comes in many forms..isn't it something that Stressed spelled backwards is Desserts? eyes

I too for 3 weeks have felt discomfort across my upper abdomen due a tense state. My anxiety is raring its ugly head. I know this is the same thing I deal with around 3 times a year but it has me feeling all kinds of weird feelings, my entire body feels like pins and needles. I have been having gas issues over the past 3 weeks, and some of it has been downright painful, I worry about every little thing.

I have health issues I worry over, and when one of them flares, my nerves get really bad and it makes my situation worse. Any suggestions??? I cannot stand these stinging sensations that have flared back up all over my upper abdomen.

Diagnosed with left sided UC in sigmoid colon and rectum 1986.
Put on Azulfidine 2 X 3 a day and Rowasa enemas 60mg.
Have been pretty much in remission overall other than a few flares over the past 21 years.
Medicine changed to Asacol 400mg 2 pills X3 times a day. Taken off all meds in 2004.
Diagnosed with acid reflux 2005. Put on Protonix 40mg.
Have been using Canasa 1000mg suppositories nightly since January 2007.
Was put back on Asacol 400mg 2 pills 2X a day in July 2007 maintenance.

I totally agree that it very well is no doubt the old anxiety coming at ya
It does work very sneakily
and will get you when you dont know it many many times

Glad the pain is gone
Sure hope it isnt the fu bug but you would no doubt have lethargy and a temp along wih that as well
as body aches and pains

Here is to hoping it doesnt come to that for you

** If you have cramping and some pains in your abdomen ty
putting a wet hand towel or small towel in microwave heat it totally and then lay it across are
Works like a heating pad
At least for me

Let us know how you are making out in your very own thread

Hey Sydnee,

I am sorry you are not posting and I am concerned that you feel anxous about posting, but please do not.  We were trying to help you be giving you a thread to talk through your issues and keep  it all tied together.  Nobody was criticizing you.  If you prefer just posting a new topic each time you may do that but I felt your responses might be better with a special thread and so did Lyn.

I know you have been online and wish you would post but if just reading gives you comfort that is fine too.(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

Respectfully

Kitt
