Has anyone had this donw with success?  I have tried different medications and I really do feel worse on them.  I am not on any right now but do use Rescue Remedy when I go out.  My anxiety is quite bad and affects me most of the day, including digestion.
Any tips or advise is appreaciated.

Hi and welcome to HW! I tried accupuncture for anxiety a few years ago and it did help me a little bit, but I have to admit I still needed to take my anti-anxiety meds as well. It was especially good for IBS and headaches. I see no reason not to give it a try. Keep us posted on how you go okay?

Welcome!

You've found a safe, caring , and reliable support community for people battling Anxiety and Panic.. We have many members here who will be glad to lend an ear, offer information, and provide support for people who need it.

Accupuncture intrigues me, I have never had the experience but I sure would be excited to see if it is something that works.

Please do let us know if you decide to do this.  I know other members have tried accupuncture and I am sure they will be along to post to you.

So glad to have you will us and keep posting.  We love new members. :)

Hi everyone,
Thank you for the warm wlcomes :) I go tomorrow morning for the first time. Im going to try it for gastroparesis, anxiety, stress and energy. I have been prescribed meds in teh past but, I feel a lot worse on them - more irratable, tearful etc.. This is worth a shot for sure. I work for a chiropractor so this is all being done for free and I need it 3x a week :)
Cheers!

Cataholic,

Welcome! I sure hope the acupuncture can do what your meds can't for you. How lucky for you to get it done for free! I'm very curious to hear all about it - it *really* doesn't hurt? How long do the needles stay in? Will they go into the same spots each time? How deep? Do you feel a difference right away, or only after a while? How many needles at once? Etc.

Feel free to use my ramblings for fodder, or just ignore them. ;)
