Is anyone here on Wellbutrin? I have been on a number of different medications and they either haven't worked or made me gain weight. On Lexapro, the last medication I was on, it worked great but I gained 10 lbs in one month and still haven't been able to lose it. My doctor wanted to try me on wellbutrin but I heard it gave people seizures, is this true?

I Was on Wellbutin for 30 days and suffered loss of appetite
and became very weak and now I am fighting to get my strength back. I don't know if it was caused by the Wellbutrin or not, but ever since I began taking it I went downhill and have been mostly in bed for over a mnth. I quit taking it on the first of July and am still very weak and must force myself to eat.
Good thing I'm retired.
I don't know what to telll anyone but I know that lack of appetite is one of the possible side effects. I also had trouble sleeping for several days but that disappeared. I was on 159 mg
by doctor, who is not at all helpful. I have had him a long time and he only says either go to the emergency room, which I did,
bein very sick, and blood tests were okay. I have been very sick and can't help but attribute it to Welbutrin for losing my appetite and becoming so weak.

I have been on Wellbutrin 200 mg BID for a little over a year. It seemed to increase my metabolism. My appetite was the same. I've always eaten the same foods (day after day; LOL, I have a food phobia about texture/taste/smell and eat only certain foods, but that's a whole other issue). I dropped nearly twenty pounds over the first two months without changing the amount or type of food. My activity increased a little, but not so much that it would account for the weight loss. Due to the weight loss, my doctor tested me for everything and then some (hyperthyroidism, diabetes, etc). All were negative. My weight has maintained the same after those two months.
As far as Wellbutrin helping- my anxiety is less, and my panic attacks have definitely decreased. I should also point out that I started taking Seroquel at the same time I started Wellbutrin, so it may be that it's the combination that's working pretty well for me.
