I woke about 1 hour and 30 minutes ago. After making a Mug of Decaffeinated Coffee,I sat down at my Desk to read and reply mail when the weirdest most scariest feeling came over me.

When I woke this Morning,I had an ache behind both Ears,a soreness/tenseness in my Scalp and nape of my Neck.Perhaps it is from being tense and not having Pillows for my Bed,which I haven't had Pillows in 9 + Month's.Simply no extra $$$ to buy.

I'm unsure what's going on,but something is quiet wrong with my Ears.Had lots of Ear problems since an Adult.

It kind of felt like an Adrenalin surge, which I tried keeping at Bay.I don't always have those when feeling Anxiety or Panic, but when they do strike they are very miserable and scary..

I couldn't possibly discuss everything with my Doctor at my first visit, but when I return July 18 for my next appointment am going to make sure he is told about the Ear problems I'm having.

One thing I am very concerned about is the possibility I may have Type II Diabetes.I don't have a testing monitor,so not sure what my readings are.Last time I checked my Blood Glucose was whilst at Dad's after my Step-Mother died in '03..

What I'm trying to figure out is why I have these feelings while sitting at my Desk.My Desk is an old study Desk not made for a Computer,so quiet possibly the Monitor is to close to my Eyes.

I can't look at those moving Car ads or blinking ads on Search Engines,in web based emails or on websites.

Couple Month's ago,I was browsing through a Hi5 Profile and looked at an aerial view of a Landing Strip. The angle the Photo was taken made me extremely sick that I had to get cold cloth and lay down in a cool and dark room.

Hey there,

What you described is unusal and I agree, make sure you tell your PCP as it could be sinus or many other things.

Remember to stay in the moment and do not assume the worse thing. :)

I have a lot of Sinus problems along with the Ears.I wouldn't be a bit suprised if I don't have motion or simulator sickness..I'm not feeling the greatest Today,so am trying to stay in the moment..when I feel unwell,it makes me Anxious and I begin wondering what's wrong with me..

Lyn,
It is impossible to cover everything with my Doctor in 1 Appointment..Diabetes runs in my Family.I had a 3 Hour GTT done 13 Years ago in April and the results were Reactive Hypoglycemia meaning instead of my Blood Glucose returning to normal,it fell below normal..it is a precursor to Diabetes.I once had a very high reading during a random Blood work in the Afternoon. It's been over 5 Years that I last checked my Blood Sugar (it was normal) and since I'm having numbness, burning, itching and tingling in my Feet and Toes,I will say am having Blood Glucose issues.I do know Anxiety and Panic can cause numbness and tingling, but not sure if constantly..I have no idea what's going on with my Ears, but am keeping Fingers crossed and saying Prayers that it isn't a Tumor or Meniere's.Think I would crack up! sad

I see Syndee, guess you can't handle those moving image articles... I don't like them either. Hope you're feeling better, do you clean your ears out too much or not enough?

Hi Paulos,

No I can't handle the moving images..I also can't sit at a Train crossing and watch a Train pass..I *try* not to clean my Ears out to much..usually with a wash cloth whilst in Shower.Previous Doctor chewed me for using Q-Tips,so I try not to use them..if/when me or a Doctor cleans out my Ears with Hydrogen Peroxide,I feel drunk..even Years ago before I really started having Ear disturbances I felt drunk..

Sydnee,

I am so sorry you are dealing with another health scare and it is raising your anxiety.  Health related worries and anxiety don't mix well at all.  I know how you are feeling.  I can't watch cars go thru intersections.  I look down at the dashboard and wait for the light to change.  Trains are a problem as well.  I've had so much testing over the years for balance issues and ear issues.  You should get it checked out.  In my case nothing was ever found and now I just deal with it and have learned to live with it all and not obsess about it.  But, it will ease the worry to talk to your PCP.  Make a complete list and talk to your doctor about everything.  It certainly will help you in the fact that it will ease your worrying to know you have talked to someone and the doctor is aware of what you are experiencing and, if possible, can order some tests to get the "all clear" or find out if it is a sinus/ear infection or something.  Keep us updated on how you are doing.

Hey Sydnee,

I hope you are feeling a bit better. Myabe you have a mild ear infection? They can make everything go out of whack and make you feel very ill. Please go to an ER if these symptoms get worse. Take care now and keep us posted. ((hugs))

Sydnee,

This doesn't address your constant ear problems, but the sensations you had when waking could be from having slept or bent your neck in just the wrong way. I know you've not had a pillow in forever, but sometimes if I move just the wrong way (and it's not always the same wrong way), I'll put something in my neck out of whack for a bit. Then the discomfort "refers" (I believe that's the correct term) all the way up the back of my skull to my forehead, through my scalp. Pulling a muscle or getting a "crick" at the base of the skull for me also triggers sore muscles and sharp twinges all across the nape as well as along the line from ear to ear. Pressure point massage helps sometimes; other times, I just have to wait for whatever random movement caused it in the first place to "undo" itself.

Anyhow, if this sounds like your experience of the other day, not to worry. It's very uncomfortable but can't harm you. If it doesn't sound like you, sorry for the long post!
