Hey,

Take some deep breaths..it IS the anxiety talking. I used to freak out about taking asprin!!

Your doc has prescribed this for you, to help you, try and take your mind off things (easier said than done I know!)..read a book, chase your kids, have a luag, try not to think about it. If you do feel that the med is having any adverse effects, call your doc or (if you have it) a medical hotline. try not to stess too much, don't let the anxiety win!

Best of luck.

I remember suffer for 4 years without meds and it has help me out alot for the past 2

years. I remember my first time i picked them up and how nervous i felt to take them. It took me

about 3 days to take them lol  I heard all the horror stories of side effects etc etc but i got none.

All meds say they may cause side effects but we all have different reactions .  Good luck

Good Morning,

I understand your fear of the unknown,  your going around on a merry-go-round trying to decide when you can get the courage to jump off and take your med.

Well, Mom, it is time to grab the brass ring and take the med. Just do it as Nike says.  :-)

Hugs

Thanks guys. I took the meds this morning! Its weird that I was desperate for something to help and then when I get it, I'm scared to take it! I guess it was in part due to the scary dizziness I experienced with the paxil. But, there is no reason for me to think the new meds will effect me that way.

MomofTwins,

Some of us have found that taking the new med in the doctor's office or pharmacy helps with the fears. I'm glad you went ahead and took yours on your own, as that's a nice baby step for overcoming your nervousness about it. I hope you'll get the relief you need without the side effects this time.

I know what you mean.  I've been desperate for something to help and when I get it, scared to death to take it.  I'm proud of you for taking the meds.  I hope all goes well with them and no side effects.
