No need to apologise, it sounds to me like you deserve a good vent. Suggestion number one: Don't look things up on the net! I refuse to let myself do that because I can self diagnose about 15 new problems in under an hour. Your blood work came back normal. Try and hold onto that. Anxiety really loves to play games with us, try and remember that you have been given the all clear by your doc.
Have you tried taking "ural" or a similar alkalanising medication? You can get them over the counter and they really help with UTI's. I would reccomend that you do take the anti-biotic, if you leave it then the infection could travel to your kidneys. Again, try not to worry too much about getting a "super-bug". It's a very rare possibility.
I know what you mean about having to ask doctors (who won't supply) xanax. It may be worth asking for an anti-depressant or a longer acting anti-anxiety med like valium. I really am sorry you are going through all of this. Please let us know how you are going. hang in there.

I am constantly dwelling on this stuff 24/7 and gone are the days where I would take things in stride and not be concerned about it. I think ever since I started going through this perimenopause stage my emotional state has changed. I wish I could go back to the way I used to be and not let anything bother me.
Just fuels my anxiety and panic more and more.
