Welcome to HeaingWell and the A & P forum. First of all congratulations on the baby that will soon be a blessing in your life.
I had 4 children and I had panic attacks as my labor was very long. Now days with the epidurals things are so much better if that is the way you choose to go. I would hope your blood pressure is being monitored closely by your Physician.
Talk to your physician about your fears and practice self talk for you, tell yourself you will be OK and believe it. You will be OK! It is the fear of the unknown that spooks most of us.
You will be so busy and focused (key word here is focused) on delivering the baby that anxiety will not cross your mind.
The reason you will handle it is because you will have no choice. This in and of itself is great news!
"Life is not about comfort. It is about living." Dr. Howard Liebgold .
Again a warm welcome and keep on talking to us.
