I went to the podiatrist last week and he said surgery again.  Scheduled for tomorrow (9/3).  Will this ever end?  I know I am not alone in asking that question!!!!  I realized today that Summer is almost gone and I never got to enjoy any of it as I was recovering from the first surgery and now Fall is quickly approaching and I'm facing a 6-8 week recovery from the surgery tomorrow and will not be able to get out and enjoy Fall either.  I love walking in the woods on a cool Fall day and that used to be one of my best anxiety-busters but not this year.  Seems like life is just passing me by these days.  It kinda stinks.  Vent over.

Ocean,

I'm so sorry to hear that you have to have another surgery.  How awful for you.  I do hope this one will go well and that you will recover quickly.  You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow!

Ocean,

Shucks sweetie, this is no fun for you.  I had foot surgery and remember having to wear a cam walker for 4 weeks in the winter time.  Ugh.  We will have you back on track for the holidays and you will be kicking up your heals.

Huggles to you my friend.

Aw, Diane, I'm sorry that you'll be out of commission during a season you enjoy. I'll be sending up lots of good thoughts and prayers today that this surgery goes smoothly, and that the results are everything that you need them to be.

It may not be much consolation, but remember that sacrificing this summer and fall so that you can walk without pain during all the ones to follow is likely a good trade-off.

Thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers.  I just got home from working 8 hours (it's 10:30am my time) and now changing clothes and heading to the surgery center.  My hands are shaking as I type this.  I've been here and done this before and know what to expect but my anxiety has kicked in full force anyway.  As I am being sedated, I cannot take my Xanax again until after the surgery.  Bummer.  So, here goes nothing.  Hopefully, this time, these lesions will not recur.  I think that is what I am so nervous about, not the surgery, but the outcome of the surgery when all is healed.  Will they recur or not????!!!!  I'll let you all know how it goes.  Thanks again for listening.
