Oops. Sorry Mary and Kitt. I did my Community Service Thursday and I'm still recovering. Worked in the warehouse with the food and the truck. Pain is just about managable now. I'm still kicking ... well figuratively. One of these days, I have to stop pushing myself so hard though in the meantime I better start taking my hypertension medicine with me. What's that saying, "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger."

I saw my councilor Friday. I also got my orientation at Vocational Rehab moved up to Sept 11, this next Thursday. I even tried to clean up the living room Wednesday, not a good idea on my part. Not getting much done but I keep trying ... or pushing myself -- I have a tendency to do that.

Thanks for all the concern. :-)

Buddha... So happy to hear from you... I was worried ... but I see that you have been busy and are heading in the right direction... One little step at a time... you'll get there! and Don't worry if you take two steps backwards from time to time... you'll carry on from there... its important that you not berate yourself for things you aren't doing... concentrate on the positive.
Proud of you...
Keep us posted or we'll be bugging you again!
Love and prayers as always
Mary

Hey, Buddha, you've been busy. I hope the back pain's letting up a bit, although I think I read in your music thread that it wasn't. (I don't listen to music very often - no particular reason why - maybe I'm just online too much!)

Hi Percycat, I'm just sore today. When the back goes out everything hurts, so when it's on the mend everything is sore. I've gotten use to a certain amount of daily pain anyway. Maybe that's why I push myself so hard because if I sat down and thought about how much pain I'm in even on a good day, I wouldn't bother getting out of bed.

I'm actually thinking of doing the rest of my community service tomorrow.

Way to go Buddha,

I know you can push yourself and get the job done.  I wish you tons of luck and believe in yourself.  We believe in you.

Buddha,

Sometimes we just have to force ourselves to get up. Many a day I used to spend under the covers until I decided that I didn't want the sum total of my lifes achievment to be a dent in a mattress!! Kudos to you for continuing to fight.
