I'm afraid I'm not qualified to offer anymore than a hug. I wake up with tremors and palpitation on a daily basis but have no idea how to stop them. I know my medications and hyperthyroid can make them much worse that's about the extent of my knowledge.

Hugs,
Buddha

I have had spell where I wake up with anxiety and I just go slow and work my way through it.  If I know I have to be somewhere first thing in the morning I allow extra time so I do not have to rush which adds to the anxiety.

I am sure  you will get some great advice from the members. A warm welcome to HealingWell.  We are so glad to have you onboard.

get the book panic to power by Lucinda Bassett and dont give into not leaving the house. I was agoraphobic and the more you give in the worse it will get. I know you might get anxious but try baby steps. if you fail try again. what is the worst that will happen ? You might get really anxious well then stop and do breathing exercises breath with your stomach not your chest. slow breath in ( your stomach should rise) let it out slow. The problem with people with anxiety is they breath with there chest and hyperventalate you have to teach yourself all over again to breath with your stomach. do this and you should feel better in a bit. dont give into the anxiety. ask yourself so what if i go out and feel anxiuos ? and then awncer that to. good luck. Hi Dadana1,

Welcome to HW, I'm sorry I am so late in saying hello, but I've not been well (bad anxiety). I used to wake up all the time feeling really anxious and it could take me hours to shake it off. It was only recently that I was feeling so unwell and anxious again and it came back for the first time in ages. I was not being able to get out of bed until almost midday, and evn called into work sick. When it was just nerves, not illness.

I think the key for me is to get up as soon as I wake up so I can't dwell on anything negative. I find exercise first thing in the morning helps too.

Hope this helps, again, welcome

Hugs,

meg

Thanks soo much for the info on the anx in the morn....went to the doc and he thinks that i'm glucose intolerance, I was told this a year ago by my obgyn and she proscribed metformin but i did not take it cause I'm afraid to take meds. so now I'm back to them thinking that i should be on meds for the nervousness. I hope this works, I have never felt like this before and it is so scary....it has been a month now and I have hardly left the house, and I'm always on the go....thanks again for y'alls input it means a lot Hugs to you too Dana

Dear Dana,

There are treatments for agraphobia too so know you have options. Talk with your PCP about recommending therapy for you.

Please know we care.
