Welcome to HW, I'm sorry I am so late in saying hello, but I've not been well (bad anxiety). I used to wake up all the time feeling really anxious and it could take me hours to shake it off. It was only recently that I was feeling so unwell and anxious again and it came back for the first time in ages. I was not being able to get out of bed until almost midday, and evn called into work sick. When it was just nerves, not illness.
I think the key for me is to get up as soon as I wake up so I can't dwell on anything negative. I find exercise first thing in the morning helps too.
