I guess it was an Anxiety Attack but I went into Wal Mart with my 12 yr old.  My hands started shaking really bad, my legs felt like jello and the lights looked like they were going darker....My heart started beating a little faster but not too fast.  It was that or a sugar drop.  We got what we needed and got out of there and I tried not to make it a big deal because he gets very worried about things.  But he knew something was not right with me.  It did pass after about 30 mins, but I don't know gang.  It's been happening quite a bit lately.  Scary as all get out!

Hey Mom,

I always have a source of glucose with me, a piece of hard candy in my purse or pocket.  I know that feeling of your Blood Sugar being to low and have proven it with a glucometer.  Sometimes exercise drops my BS.

It could have been anxiety too.  Try to stay focused and look at the things around you.  Keep telling yourself you will be fine.  Take nice slow breaths and slow your whole pace down.  Remember you will be okay.

Your right, children are very perseptive so perhaps you could let your son know that you feel a bit off but you are fine.

Take care and I hope these spells pass.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

Kitt, thanks.  With all you have going on it sounds like you're always here to help everyone out.  As you know being new to the board, I'm just learning things and all but I hope things are looking up for your sister.  There is seven years between my sister and I and we are extremly close.  Sounds like you and your sister are as well.  There's nothing like having one!

My mom id diabetic so I think I may just get one of those little thingys and start just checking mine when I feel that way.  Years ago, I went throught the hypoglycemic (sp) testing...years and years ago.  My baby that is 17 now wasn't even thought about at the time!  LOL!  And even then, the Dr. thought I may have a slight problem.  But, then it tapered off.

Now, I do have a question about this anxiety stuff.  Could it be possible that you feel this way one minute....not to the sakiy stand point, but just all of a sudden feel like whoa, what was that that just passed over me like a cloud???  Liek you feel yuck all of a sudden, and just out of tune on what's going on around you a couple of minutes, then you sorta talk to yourself b/c you don't want anyone around you to know it's happening to you.  And, then for this 1 time, you are okay and it worked out and passes?  I am so tired.  Literally, of them.
