             turn

 STORM IN OUR MIND

We are only one person
We cant do for all,
Need to hold ourselves down
OH Lord, I cant fall!

It goes through our mind
All through the day,
Darn i forgot to do that!
In our minds that will stay.

Who said it had to be done
And does it really matter,
We keep adding to our minds
To much clutter that will scatter.

Things whirl and twirl
Till you feel blown away,
And you cry to yourself..
Will i make it through the day!

Some how we will make it
We'll all be just fine,
Somehow we'll all make it
Through that Storm In Our Mind.

Sunny,

I liked your poem very much too! Adding clutter is a good way to describe all those anxious thoughts that in the big scheme aren't really that important but get blown out of proportion anyway.

TY . When i was going through depression my husband would come home and gripe and gripe about things not being done.. (and i had 3 little kids to take care of) It was a big problem for him...He just DID not understand how i felt and i had Nooooo support from him... He just ignored the fact i wasnt feeling well. It was at that time of deep depression (from my dad dieing) that i was able to come up with many different poems. They expressed the way i felt at the time.. It was almost like self therapy. I usually ended up doing it at night or even waking up in the middle of the night with one in my head. If i didnt get up THEN and THERE to write it down i would absolutely not remember it in the morning.

Sunny,

That's so neat how your brain was using the poetry to heal or vent, even subconsciously. Please share more of them as you feel like it!
