Hey there,

Seredyn  is a natural compoud that you can buy OTC or at health products store.  I would research it and also ask you physician if this is a safe medication for you?

I have no personal experience with it.

Take care.

Hi Dave,

I've not had any experience with it either, kitt is on the mark there about asking your doctor and maybe your chemist. I hope it gives you some relief, please let us know how you go okay? I would be interested to know. :-)

Sorry, I've been away all week. Is it really necessary to contact a physician do you think?

Good Morning Dave,

It is my opinion that you should be taking the safest route by talking with your physician but that is just my 2 cents worth. The choice is yours. :-)

The prob with taking extra anti-anxiety meds is they interfere with other anti-anxiety meds. Seredyn is a sedative it wil make u drowsy and lower you blood pressure it wil also increase the effects of anhy SSRI your taking and the sedative efect of alcohol, for these reasons i would consult your doctor if only so they can recommend a suitable dose.

I personally dont buy into Seredyn being non-habit forming as u have to taper off its usage when u cease taking it. I.e it has side effects wen u stop taking it.

Im thinking bout getting some seredyn to take when im really stressed just to supplement my citaelopram when needed. If i do I'l let kno if it works for me.

All the best

I've read about it but have never tried it or know anyone that has. I am curious myself but would need to see Pdoc first and he doesn't do alternative medicine which is what I practice :)

So I finally went ahead and got this stuff. I've had it for about 2 months now and have just used it this evening for the first time. (It seems merely being in possession of them had an effect!!) Whilst doing nothing in particular this evening I got hit with a bad panic attack. Trouble breathing and escalating bad thoughts etc. so I gave in and took a Seredyn. After about an hour (now) I feel ok. But isnt that the amount of time a panic attack lasts anyway? I must say I do feel relaxed now though and I did only take one. (It recommends taking up to 3)

I'll keep you all posted on how I fare in the future but for now I can't vouch for or against it with any accuracy.

Tell next time....

Hello Dave,

You are right, just having the pills available may have made you feel more secure.  Panic attacks are usually self limiting and they do not hurt you just make you very uncomfortable.

Have you tried any of the therapies to help you through the panic attacks?

Glad to hear your attacked abated.

I've never heard of this drug. I hope you took Kitt's suggestion to call your doc before trying it. Course, now that you've taken it, you know the effects. It's always a good idea to run by anything new you want to take with a doc or pharmacist. I even ask about vitamins because you never know when they may interact badly.
