Hey everyone just thought i would let everyone know how i am getting along since i havent been on in awhile :( well anyways i had strep all last week so i missed a few days of school and i have been really stressed out trying to make up homework and studying for midterms, definitely has been a rough couple of weeks....i seemed to be doing better for awhile i would go a day or two without having a panic attack, i had been exercising alot, playing alot of soccer, and it has definitely helped alot, it helps take my mind off of anxiety but this last 3 or 4 days has been really bad, i avoid leaving the house unless i absolutely need to, and when i do its one panic attack after another. well i spoke with my doctor last week and he has been trying to refer me to a specialist for anxiety and panic disorders but the first person was not taking patients at that time...so he is trying to schedule an appointment with another specialist hopefully by the end of this week, if not by early next week, so im wondering what can i expect at my first few visits i know that they specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy there so i read up a lil bit on it and kinda got a basic idea of it but id like to hear from people who have actually went through therapy themselves. Well just wanted to let everyone know how im doing and hope everyone else is doing well!!!

Good to hear from you.  I went to therapy but we did not do the CBT so working with a therapist using the program I cannot give you any input.

I do know that it has appeared to help many members.  So sorry you were sick.  That can cause anxiety too.

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know how you are going..sorry to hear you were sick for a few days there. Ech! It really doesn't help when you are busy studying.

I'm trying madly to finish up my last assessments for the year..I cannot wait for the endo of term and then (my) summer break.

CBT is great when you are a student, I hope you get into see a counsellor soon. In the meantime
