Dear Lyn........awesome and you are so right on but you have been here and gone through changes and experienced the love and compassion shared by the members.
I joined because I have Anxiety and MDD however the minute I started to post I found sharing my stories and information and reading that others understood how I felt, I was hooked.
Reasons why online peer support groups work..........Several unique advantages exist in online support groups. Many have been described in the literature already, such as access for the homebound, geographically isolated, or stigmatized client who will not or cannot access treatment locally. There are numerous examples of other particular types of clients who benefit from having access to online peer support groups. Hearing disabled people, celebrities, business travelers, people who are shy and introverted, concerned about stigma, or socially phobic, also might find unique advantages to seeking therapeutic activities, and self-help materials, all easily accessible online.
I find helping others is my gift from HealingWell. Also when I write my posts it reminds me to stay in the moment and kick the "stinkin thinkin" to the CURB.
We are truly here to help each other and when we read through the threads and share pieces of ourself we know if today we have only helped one person, we have done them a great service.
Each day when you get out of bed you know that some one on HW is here for you and you are here to offer personal comments or advice to help others.
Every day members of HealingWell recover their Self-esteem, their self-worth, their dreams, their pride, their dignity and a meaningful life.
My love and prayers to each of you. We are all in this family.

i have found a level of acceptance here that the sceptic in me didnt think existed anymore. the kind hearted, practical words of advice that are given here are like a healing balm for the soul.
people here understand P/A. the terrifying highs with adrenalin coursing though your body to the darkest depths when you feel you cant go on. this forum has helped me more than my Pyschiatrist ever has. sure, she prescribes the meds, but because she has not personlly experienced A/P firsthand, she cant give me the practical and emotional support i find here.
back at ya, Lyn. you have been a major source of help.
sending you some sydney love

The members we deal with re HIV scares are the ones that have anxiety re their tests and the fear they go through during this difficult time. We are all glad to support your anxiety and we are all good at it. The A & P forum is one big family and we love having new members.
There is something comforting about baring your soul to the members of A & P and still being able to be anonymous.

You got some good advice from Lyn as I do not know the answer on the pregnancy but I am sure if you google or ask the question on our HIV forum you may get an answer.
Take care and please forgive yourself and keep moving on.
