Hello,

I haven't been able to get on here in quite some time!
My first time ever I went to a therapist a few days ago for anxiety. I was sooo nervous! I was asking people on here questions about what to expect and what will happen, etc. so thanks to everyone who helped.

It went over pretty well. I'm still feeling a bit nervous about the whole thing, but I hope on high that it will help me.
Has anyone gone through with therapy for anxiety? I feel like I shoudl give up but I know that I shouldn't. I' m just a little hesitant on how this will work...

Hello BTE,

I am so glad to hear you are going to therapy.  The first few sessions are akward but they will become easier.  Remember this person is there just for you.

Keep on going and work with your therapist.  My therapist was surprised when I said I worked hard on my home work.  She said I had no homework, all the work was happening in her office.

I felt better after that as I was worrying I would screw up therapy skull

Hugs

Kitt

BTE
Why would you want to give up after only one session
It will take some timeI know to open up
and trust the therapist but you might just be happily mistaken if you stay with it

I found it hard when I would change therapists as I always had to start at the beginning ya know

My family doc is basically the one I do therapy with he knows me well and it a great man in my books

I am sure I will put him in the looney bin one day lol

Good luck and keep us posted plz
