Hi every1

just little check in. I have been really busy so unable to post much altho i been checkin the pages daily. Anxiety not good this week i been late to work a few times because i cant sleep, so my boss in her wisdom told me if im late one more i wil in alot of trouble. Altho i completely accept her reason for saying this it doesn't exactly aod my poor sleeping.

On top of this ive had massive water bill from wher we had a leak in our house :( took all my money away. My ex rang me last to say she feeling abit low and wanted to talk, i.e she wanted to mess with my head.

So all in all its been a quite stressful week, goodnews is tho anxiety isn't too bad today especially compared to yesterday still feel abit overwhelmed by evreything. Breathing exercises have been a life saver this week. What i was going to say is im meeting up two differen old friends this week end so i should get to go out and have a good time. I havnot been out for ages :P

Rant over

Badfish,

Sounds like you've got a lot going on, sorry it's been so tough for you lately.  I do hope that your sleeping will improve, so you won't be in trouble with work, nothing like getting a reprimand to add to the stress!  I am glad that you are handling it well and using your breathing to get you through the rough patches.  Try to let go of some of the stress and go out with your friends and have a great time.  You deserve a break from all the craziness!

Dear badfish.

I am glad your doing the breathing exercises. Kudos for you.

Just my 2 cents worth today.......... devil   you knew I would have something to say.

When I worked full time days I would be so tired when I got home I would lay down on the couch for an hour and 1/2.  This revived me and I quit trying to go to bed so early as I was obsessed with having to sleep because "I have to work tomorrow" I would still be awake at 3:30 am.

So my physician asked me "What is the worse thing that could happen if you didn't fall asleep"  I said I don't know but somehing will........tears of fear of course.

Well he told me that my body would sleep and I would not crash if I did not get my full 8  hours sleep.

I will admit that I started on Trazodone for sleep and for me it has been the miracle drug.

Talk with your physician.

Badfish,

Sorry to hear about the work anxiety. Try to use her reprimand in a productive way ("Ok, I'll use two alarm clocks for a while") rather than negatively ("She thinks I'm a dope"). I don't know how she spoke to you, but even if she came down on you in a negative way, you can use her information while still rejecting negative self-thought (not easy, I know). You *are* working to beat your anxiety, and you will find a way to be on time for your job even when your sleep is messed up, because you're a fighter.

The water bill is a "downer." At least it can't happen again?

And I'm sorry to hear that the ex is still pestering you. It's hard when someone you care for is not good for you. Your wounds need time to heal, but if I remember right, most contact with her just stirs them up again.

The weekend with friends may help you to spend some time with those parts of yourself that you enjoy, as well as enjoying your friends' company. I sure hope so!

badfish,

I believe in you.............just don't give up and you know you are not stupid or dumb.

I understand about the ex-wife thing too.

I wrote a country western song for my ex and titled it

"How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away?"

Smiles to you

Lol Kitt, ... not my ex wife just ex GF but she was my first love.

Anxiety seems ALOT better this week.. Sleep patterns are still terrible though. Fell asleep at 4.00am last nite hda tobe up at 5.30am for work. So im running on 1 1/2 hours sleep. Although anxiety not too bad i think im going through a minor depression thing. I keep obsessing on certain things and just under general malaise right now. Starting to get the feeling the lack of sleep is causing the depresion.

Thanks for all the words of support

Badfish
