Dear Badfish

So sorry that today started out so difficult for you.  I've been there, I rated day after day a "1" on a scale of 1-5 earlier this year.  So depressed and not knowing how I could go on.

Suggestions:  just breathe, as they say, though I don't get much relief from this; a walk outside in the sun, even if just 10 minutes; talking to us and a friend in person if you can do that.  Don't worry about burdening your friends - pick the one who is most understanding.  Stay busy at work, as you already know.

Good luck to you my friend, and be well.

Good Morning

Wondering why you're not all holly-jolly? You likely have a case of holiday blues. While it often seems every human being on earth is in fa-la-la land, it's actually pretty common to feel blah around the holidays. Still, that doesn't mean you have to hibernate until spring.

Confide in a friend.  "It always makes me feel better to talk to my best friend," I can tell her anything." It's OK to dump on a caring chum.

If you just want to vent while your  friend  listens, that's fine. Spill, spill, spill. But if you want solutions to your probs, your pal could come in handy in that department too. Perhaps you two could put your heads together and brainstorm your options. Feel better already, don'tcha? :)

I put a new holiday thread up yesterday.........follow along and post your feelings and questions:  "How to Beat the Holiday Stress"

I am thinking of you.

Bless you
Kitt

Badfish,

And if you feel like crying, go ahead and let it out (someplace where you feel comfortable - maybe a private place at work, or maybe not until you can get home tonight). When I can cry, I find that it helps to release some of that negativity and hopelessness.

Big hugs to you,

(((Badfish))) I find the holidays very stressful as well, and I hope that you will find someone close to you who will talk it out with you and let you vent as much as you need. It's okay not to feel like everything is great just because it's the holidays. It can be a tough time for many people. Releasing your feelings can help you cope.

Take care,
