I have been facing the Paxil poop-out problem, have been on it for 10 yrs and this summer started feeling a little different and then in September started having my full blown panic attacks again and anxiety.  Right now, my dr is trying Luvox to see if that will work, I did not realize there is such a thing as poop-out.  It is very frustrating because I had been doing well with Paxil for so long and thought I would never ever have this problem again......need kind words of support and encouragement from anypne out there who has been thru the same!  I took a leave of absence from work and am worried that I may not return, which just adds to my problem......I feel anxious, disoriented sometimes, a little depressed, but mostly very fearful and scared ........which ic how I ws before the Paxil 10 yrs ago!!!   So far I have taken the Luvox not quite 2 weeks, haven't noticed a whole lot of improvement though I know meds take a while to start working.......Please give me some suggestions, I have an appt to start CBT in a week so maybe that will also help.  Any support would be appreciated!!! rolleyes

Welcome to HW
You have come to a great place
I brought your post out of the "THANKSGIVING" thread
as it was buried amongst those .....
You should look for threads already started on the subject or if arent any
Start a thread of your own to get more input

I have no knowledge of Paxil so I will leave that to the ones that do

I do know that meds may take up to 4 to 6 weeks to kick in .
Depending on the med

I think iot is great you are going for the CBT really
I do an online free one and I know it has helped me out so much
Stick around and get involved in threads
Let us know how you are making out as well
The members here are wonderful ,caring and very supportive

Hello phoenixphyre,

You went off the Paxil and about 2 weeks later you start to have these severe sx, now 3 months later are you still having the attacks?

Have you been to your physicians for a consultation and would you mind sharing with us how that went?

We are glad to have you with us, keep posting.
