Hi All

Arrived in france today ready for three months of skiing. I drove down with my brother from the UK and the driving anxiety was unreal i am bad enough driving in the UK but in a different country were to me you drive on the wrong side of the road was very stressful but arrived in one piece. I think this trip will be good for me as things have been tough for me of late and it will be a break from work. Im pritty anxious about being away for so long but im sure i will have a good time.

Take care all

Ben

Hey, congrats on making it through the drive! Now you can enjoy yourself and relax. I have problems riding in a car as a passenger. It's the "I'm not in control" thing. Remember to practice your relaxation techniques daily, even when you're feeling good. You're going to do fine and have a blast! Carol

Ben, shoot me a date and I will meet you at the Ritz in Paris.  We can dine and stroll the luxury specialty shops on  the Avenue des Champs- Élysées.  Be careful in Paris........they will run you over in a New York minute. devil

Merry Christmas my new friend.

Thanks guys

Taking a while to settle down not done any skiing yet i still seem to get anxious about silly things which i dont need to worry about. At the moment im worried about running out of my medication and not being able to get any more, i was told by my doctor that this will not be a problem as i will be able to get the same meds here but im sure you know how it goes and i have loads of thoughts going through my head about not being able to get any. I think i am also anxious because it will be a new doctor and im not sure how good an english he/she will speak and my french sucks.

I know i just need to relax and enjoy the environment i am in and just block the anxiety out, things are going to be good and i am going to enjoy myself. It really is a nice place here and i am enjoying the break from work. I was given a big handout from my p-doc before i came away which covers controling anxiety and describes CBT which i am to read through before i get back to start my CBT so i will start to work through that.

Kitt Paris sounds good to me when can you make it over? Maybe the magic carpet could bring you over and we could hit the Ritz

Good Morning Ben,

How about New Year's Eve at the Ritz and I will bring the magic carpet with all the members that want to come along. scool

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities
no doubt have crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely
and with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with
your old nonsense.

This day is all that is
good and fair.
It is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on yesterdays.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Gentle Hugs and Thank you for all you do for each of us here in the A & P Forum.
