First off, I can't thank everyone enough for all of the advice/suggestions given to me and being there for me.  It means more than you'll ever know.....

I slept like a baby last night.  As soon as I woke up, my mind immediately started the "what if" thinking. shakehead I was so scared. I am really trying to be in the moment, and think positive.  It can be so hard! rolleyes   The mind can be tough.  The good news is, I haven't had a full blown panic attack yet. :-)   But, I am VERY anxious, tired, spacey, nauseated, and a touch of diarrhea.  I feel weak and shakey.  Panic and anxiety can sure drain you.

I just pray that things will get better, not worse.

I will be checking in throughout the day.  Blessings, Julie

Julie,

Glad to hear you are better. Remember to stay in the moment and do not let the anxiety run your life.  You are the one in charge.  Hope your day goes well.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement, dear ones! We CAN do this! I am trying to keep myself as busy as possible. I just got done cleaning off the car (another snow storm) and cleaning the bathroom. Now I am just trying to relax a little bit. Then, I am going to watch the Godfather! I'll be checking in later. Blessings, Julie

Glad you are feeling better today Julie :) Sounds like you are having what I call an anxiety hangover. They used to weird me out a bit until I realized what it was, and now it happens less and less :)

Have a great one! I used to love the Godfather movies. . . Sounds like a good idea :)

Hey Julie
I feel same way... However I did not sleep well... My grandma is putting soo much stress on me I can't take it anymore. She broke her leg and cannot do anything, however she'll hop on one leg to the kitchen just to see if it's clean. ????? IF your leg is broken the last thing you'll worry about is kitchen and last thing you'll worry about is if the windows are clean. These past few days I've done so much work and had soo much anger because this is my vacation I needed to get away from her and relax but guess what she breaks her leg on the day of my vacation begins!!! SOOO MUCH LUCK FOR ME!!!!!! Grrrr im so mad i cant take it anymore!!!! STRESSS!!!
I had to vent!!

Sorry to hear about your grandmother breaking her leg. Hope you all get to doing better. I've been taking care of my grandmother for over a decade and I know it can be challenging at times but we do what we have to :)

Just remember all the good stuff your grandmother did for you when you were younger, and it will help put things into perspective :)

Take a deep breath and relax your muscles. . . Ask your grandma if she could rub your shoulders for a bit :)

Shia,

Suck up the anger kiddo, your Gma who is 86  is the one that you dislike right?  I am not sure she could do anything that would please her so quit trying to fix her and fix you instead. I do not believe that she has the power to break her leg on the first day of your vacation to spite you.

Ask  your Mom and your Aunt to come over and stay with her so you can go out.  I don't think this is anxiety but anger and IMHO it feels to me like you store up all the things she does and try to make her into this person who is out to make your life a living hell.

I know you live in her house as you have no place else to live. Understand that anger is an expression of “not getting what you need”.

All anger stems from hurt. Now when your  angry  try to think of what is really making you feel this way and why you feel hurt. My best advice re your Gma, Get over it. Move on and be happy!

Holiday Blessings to you.
