Good morning HW family. ive been thinking about this alot in my own life and so i thought todays question would be:

"What negative thoughts do i need to banish, in order to get on with the healing process?"

mine would be that
1. im never going to get better so why bother trying?
2. life is unfair
3. no one cares about me or my struggles.

Now lets hear yours!

Maz

Holey Moley I could write a book but lets make it a magazine  :) OK these negative thoughts are going to spend their time with the stinkin thinkin on the curb.

1. If I was a better person people would like me

2.  I take comments out of context and feel hurt by what someone may or may not say.

3.  I need compliments to feel good about myself.

4.  I ask my self why me?

I believe I should send those to Oprah's "O" magazine.

God job Maz.

This is a great question, Maz... mine are:

(1) I let myself think that bad things only happen to me/make myself feel alone when it isn't necessary.
(2) I worry about things that I can't control (what's going to happen tomorrow, what will that result be at the doctor's office, etc).
(3) When others offer me compliments, I brush them off, thinking that I am not deserving.

Dang... I've got a lot of work to do!

Thanks for this thread.

Mine would have to be:

1) Stop worrying about what others think
2.) Quit wondering "what if"
3.) If I do this or that I will fail

Good thread Maz!!

Good question!

The negative thoughts I need to banish:

1.  Feeling worthless and that people around me think I am too.

2.  Stop being so sensitive and blowing things out of proportion.

3.  What if thinking

4.  Anything related to health anxiety

Could go on and on, but this seems to be enough of a start!

Maz - I caught the date thing right away and understood it.  My sister lived in Europe for many years and that is how they do the date there as well.

Good question.

1.  I need to stop thinking so negatively about things at work.  Which, by the way, is my new year's resolution to think more positive at work and not let every little thing make me react in a negative way.

2.  I need to stop taking things so personally.

3.  I need to stop worrying all the time about everything.

Good Day!!!

Great question Maz :)

I need to stop worrying about the future which is pretty uncertain anyway because it is unpredictable for the most part. . .

I need to stop thinking thoughts that hurt myself. . .

I need to stop letting other people hurt me and get to me. . .

I could write a book but that is enough for now.

Maz has a buzz going, pain pills.  Good Afternoon sleepy head.

Where you been hiding all day in bed?

I see so many commonalities in our answers that we should get a few good threads going and work through our problems.

I will work on a couple tonight and tomorrow or if someone else wants to start a thread feel free as long as we don't already have on on the board.

You guys are great.

Luv, Kitt

I agree about starting a few more Mutual Support threads my friend. I'll think of a couple myself. . . I've been spending extra time researching old posts way back and learning rules and regs. Don't want to do anything wrong or step on toes. I'm just here to help :)
