I know I SHOULDNT worry, but I am 29 weeks pregnant and have only gained 9 pounds so far. I do eat!! I dont have a crazy pregnant lady appetite I just eat normal, but I am just starting to worry about weight gain. I know my doctor isnt concerned so I shouldnt be but I still wonder. I started at 170 and now Im about 179. I have a 3 year old son and gained about 25-30 pounds with him. I know most women would be happy with that but I think I would feel better to actually gain a little more weight. See this is my problem!! My thinking is screwed up!!!!

I was a really really skinny bones before I had my babies, so the docs always wanted me to gain extra weight. I ate and ate but never really gained all that much weight. You have only gained 9 pounds so far, but I will tell you the last weeks of pregnancy are when folks really start gaining weight as the baby really starts gaining weight then too. If you doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry too much about. Just think when you have the baby how much easier it will be to lose the baby weight.

No one could tell I was 5 months pregnant with my first daughter. The doc was concerned because my belly wasn't large enough. He got us worried, too. Come to find out, Danielle was large enough. Everything was fine. If you feel good and the doc isn't worried, then I wouldn't be. Enjoy the pregnancy and just eat as normal.

Just listen to your doc and stay relaxed for your precious baby :) You have had the tests run so put you mind at ease and be sure to mention how you are feeling and you anxiousness to your doc also. The best of luck to you and your family!

I gained 50 pounds with my daughter...............so believe in your Doctor.  I am from the era that you should it for 2 but I think I ate for three thinking I was having twins.

redface   Nanners is right on re the babies gaining weight...........so kick those worries to the curb sweetie and get rested up for those night time feedings that are on the horizon.

Congratulations on your soon to be family addition.
