i know it seems scary now, but i bet when you get there, you wont feel as bad as you do now. practise your breathing excercises if you start to feel overwhelmed. is this a new school, or is it your normal school? hopefully you know people and spending time with them may help you forget your anxiety. what you are experiencing is perfectly normal- its still a nasty feeling though.

All the best, take care and keep us posted,

its a new school. i've isolated myself so much for a few months, almost agoraphobic, just going to support groups, doctor's appointments and all that, but nothing else. i know im probably overthinking it and once i get there it wont be that bad. its just that the suspense is killing me. maybe i just shouldnt think about it?

try not to 'over' think it. im sure you will meet and make friends with other students in time, maybe they are quieter and anxious about going back to school as well. i understand as i am agoraphobic, although my meds control it, but id be anxious too. you are not alone. if it gets too tough, jump on here and have a word with your HW friends- we are here to support you every step of the way.

AS a high school teacher, i see plenty of kids who start out anxious and unsettled- but in time they DO make friends and settle in. i really hope things get better for you and am thinking of you. remember- you can always come here-

keep us posted on how you go- i think you are anticipating the worst, when in reality, when you get there, it wont be that bad.

fingers crossed!

i'm bipolar, and i'm scared of going into an episode while im in school, although when i think about it i am pretty 'safe' in school. i cant really describe how i feel about it, there's just this feeling of dread... like something bad is going to happen...

yeah i was wondering about Xanax or Valium etc, but if your doc wont prescribe it, then he know what he is doing. you just have to trust that you ARE a strong person and you WILL get through this- the yukky feelings will pass in time. im so sorry, it really sounds tough on you, and thats not fair.
