So down here in the land of Aus, we are having a particularly nasty heatwave (in my part of the country anyway.. its a big country)
we have the air-con on full tilt and it isnt making a difference. its so humid, ive been swimming and having cold baths and nothing can free me from this opressive heat. Many of you know that i have Seasonal Mood Disorder and that summer is my trigger season. im agitated out of my mind. i cannot get comfortable. i have a slightly higher core body temperature as a part of my immune deficiency problems- i ALSO am still unwell and have spiked a fever.
im so uncomfortable, my nerves are screaming for some relief. its beyond hot. its like breathing soggy, wet hot air. my lungs hurt. i have a grinding headache that is being exacerbated by this heat.
after having a vent and a whine, i realise that i should be counting my blessings- comfy bed, food in tummy, roof over head, freedom of speech etc.
Sorry- the heat is honestly messing with my extremely frazzled nerves. im so wound up, on edge. heatwave has been going for about a week, forecast is for at least another 5 days. i cannot get comfortable. i cannot sleep. im running on empty.

I'm sorry that the weather is making your anxiety worse. I get that sometimes with long strings of cloudless sunny days in summer, but fortunately don't have the heat problems.

I hear what you're saying about physically feeling jittery, irritable, edgy. I do hope the last traces of the fever go away since that will give you a tiny bit of relief. Do cool or even icy compresses help at all? I'm picturing frosty mint juleps on the veranda with a light breeze, and you enjoying it all.

Hope the heat breaks soon.

Hello Maz,

I am sorry that nasty warm humid heat is kicking your butt.

As sick as you are and have been for so long now I am glad you are giving yourself  permission to vent anytime...............I will read it and I know sometimes just writing it down is a huge help.  Just letting us know how awful you are feeling helps.

You have my support and hugs, gentle cool hugs..........

Luvs ya my dear friend and awesome lady.

:) I'll send you a rain cloud... I think where I live could afford it... rain is more common than anything else here.

But only if you promise to send me some of your sun :)

Awww take care, during the winter we ran out of heat... and I know how uncomfortable temperature can make everything less bareable.

*sends Maz a popsicle*

Dear L.A.S.

It is no wonder you feel so frazled with all the stuff that has hit you like a ton of bricks my friend. Like I just told out dear Kitt, you are another that gives a lot of herself and you just vent all you want! You are so wonderful and are still counting your blessings while feeling so miserable. I hope you will get yourself to a hospital if you don't start feeling better. I could not imagine a heat wave right now, the woodstove made me have an anxiety attack the first night it was lit because of the heat, so I kinda know what you mean there. I wish I could send you a ticket to the Northern Hemisphere for awhile until you got better. My love and prayers are with you :)

Please take care of you and know your family is here for you anytime :)
