I also love amaryllis and narcissi.  I wish I had a garden or porch where I could grow all my favorites.  Unfortunately, I live in an apartment and the only thing I have is concrete.  I do love the way you described springtime though.  You are soooo great with words.  I agree that autumn around here has been very DULL.  I want SPRING sooooooo bad right now.  I hate winter.  Hope you have a great weekend.  Have you ever been to Holland and seen the tulip fields????????  I have a twin sister who lived there for 12 years and that was one of my favorite things was to go in the Spring and see the tulip fields.  If I can, I will try to find a picture and attach it here for you to see.  You'd love it.

That would be so cool Diane :) I have seen pics/footage on TV and in magazines of course, but I have never been there. I would love to travel more, used to all the time, but until this darn war stuff tapers down and other countries have more respect for us, I am afraid too (anxiety thing, lol:) Let's go ahead and start a "beautiful picture thread" on this one and I'll find a few of the south where I lived for awhile and down in Jamaica. I have heard that art and pictures are soothing to anxiety, so maybe we all can help each other a bit. Just change you title to describe it and we'll give it a go :)

Have you considered making a small greenhouse with a grow light in your apt? I used to do this because I'm just lost without my plants. I have a few that are still going after 20 years, and my grandmother has some that are about 50 years old. Just a thought so you can enjoy something you love so much as well :)

I'm off to find some pics now! Thanks for the pick me up :) I love photography and art a lot :) I know our Kitt does as well as other members.

Sam, I have tons of pictures I could post.  Choosing a favorite will be hard. But how do I get it into the post here?  I tried to post a pic in the Saturday roll call but it wouldn't work.  Great idea about the greenhouse thing.  I just love plants.  Have indoor ones all over my apartment.  I have a philodendrum that is 21 years old and I love it.  Can't wait to see your pics.  Just let me know how to get mine in here.

Hello :) You can either load it to your website if you have one or upload them to the following:

It is free (have to start an account) and has so many great pics on there too :) You can also right click on pics you find on the internet, go down to the properties, then highlight the web address in there to copy and paste. We have to just make sure that we put in where we found them due to copyright infringement :)

I wish my philodendrum was that old. I bet yours is huge and beautiful! If you want to, we can give you some time to get your photos fixed up and start a new thread if you want. It will take me a little bit as well to scan some pics myself, and find some on the internet that can show places that I've been to and love as well :)
