they are all good! the usual swimming/tanning and barbeque and listening to triple jjj's hottest hundred, thats a huge tradition. the whole neighbourhood is firing up their barby's can smell rissoles, snags, steaks, chops etc. and we do fireworks at night. a smashing good time. any chance to have a day off is good too!  back to work tomorrow.... cry

but PARTY today! (well as much as you can when you have a hideous sinus/chest infection/ear-drum rupture thing going on) rolleyes

I want MGMT as well, but i would put money on Kings of Leon.

Wow! The thought of summer time barbeques really warms my heart when it's 10 degrees F outside and boatloads of snow on the way.

What are rissoles and snags? They sound good!

Yay for Australia :)

Is it anything like Canada day here? We have parades and candy, and get our face painted all maple leaf like... wear red and white. :) We look like a Where's Waldo book, except Waldo isn't even there.

It's a big community event where I'm from, we have games for kids and a mud bog you can enter your old cars in for prizes. The firemen make hamburgers, and we have our community soccer tournament too.

It's lots of fun :)

Corrie, that sounds amazing! We tend to eat a great deal of BBQ red meat and those who do, drink a lot of beer..it was very quiet this morning... smilewinkgrin

Percy, Tony, Sam, we had fun, but I think Maz hurt her sweet head. love to Maz..

I think we should all plan a trip to the Oktoberfest in Germany and party down in the fall too.  We could find a lot of festivals.
