I have taken Zoloft many times...It is a harsh drug. I found it hard to go on and hard to get off....Worked well once i made it throught the side effects. I am now on lexapro and it is a dream for me...I have heard many negitive report from other people but for me it is great...I started taking it about 9 weeks ago and i feel top of the world considering. Ask the doc about the generic brand of lexapro called esipram....IT IS MUCH CHEAPER! Goodluck. xx

I'm on Lexapro right now, but my doctor is changing me over to Celexa. He said it's basically the same "active" ingredient once it goes through the digestive process. I don't know, it was complicated but he explained it to me that way. LOL I'm hoping it works me the same, because it's supposed to be MUCH cheaper. The Lexapro brand name for me was going to be $40 a month. But he said if it didn't work as well for some reason he could switch me back to Lexapro.

I haven't heard too many good things about Zoloft honestly.

I just read the other day that both of these are considered the best meds to treat anxiety/depression. I tried Zoloft, but it tore my guts up really bad, so that only lasted two days. I only take Xanax now as needed which is usually only about 2-3 times a month. Good luck!
