Good Morning Family,
I would love to see more members participate in the Roll Call as it is a way to get to know yourself as well as understanding your feelings.
Today's Question:

What do you do better than most people you know?

It's kind of hard to think of the positive things sometimes but I guess I would have to say that communication is a strong point for me - if only I could get my husband to do the same! :-)

I believe like Austin I am a pretty good communicator. But I also feel that I am to love unconditionally, not many folks love without conditions it seems. I had to think about this for a bit, tough but good question.

I believe I can make people laugh , forget their anxieties and problems even for just a moment... and I can make people smile! Pretty hard to resist my tired old face grinning up a storm while passing you by... I am good at connecting with people. Strangers tell me their entire life history while we're waiting for the light to change . ! I am grateful for this gift! and try to use it as often as I possibly can , with wisdom and sensitivity.!
Mary( P.S. This is what I have been told by people/ friends and family... so I am assuming I am doing some good with this tired old smile of mine... I surely hope so)

Great, I bleieve you all know yourselves well. cool

I would have to say I am a caregiver and I think this is my stongest point, even in nursing I would be able to just sit quietly and hold a person's hand.  In order to do this I have to be outgoing so........I am an outgoing caregiver.

Marie-Claire, I am just like you. I've had strangers tell me their whole life stories also in a short amount of time. I can connect with people more than the average person. I like it. It makes me feel like I'm making a difference, even if only to a few people.

I would have to say that I listen to people's problems and try to help them out the best way I know.  It has always seemed to me that I can help other people with their problems but I can't seem to help myself.  I'm always there when someone needs to talk and I think that is important.  I know that if I need someone to talk to, or just to cry to, I would like someone there for me.

Wow, what a great question Kitt and I agree that it would be nice to see more people participate in Roll Call and A/P Peer Support too  :)

To be honest, I don't know what I do better than most, because I have role models that I look up to in most everything, but I know I am really good at helping others in many ways and trying to make people smile :) I think that this is my best quality and something I can be proud of :)

Well, the answer is, of course, everything. Nah! Just kidding. :)
I know that I write better than most people my age due to the fact that I practice daily (I try to write at least a sentence, but my goal is usually to write at least a few pages.) I read incredibly fast, much faster than anyone I know, and still have comprehension. I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in about four hours (I don't normally time myself when I read. In fact, I think this is the only instance. I'm sure I had a specific reason for it, but I can't remember)
I learn faster than most people. That's a blessing in some ways, but mostly a curse. Also, this isn't something to brag about, but if for some reason I forget something I've learned for, say a test, I'm very good at BSing my way through it. I think this is because I have learned so much over the years (not only do I read fast, but I read a lot, which is probably why I read fast) that I can connect it all together and make sense.
Of course, this doesn't work in all cases because some teachers are very vigilant. Also, I don't encourage myself to BS through tests. I prefer studying.
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.
