Hello cool

Since it is the middle of the week and a lot of us are busy and a little worn we'll make this easy.

What do you do that is creative and artistic that helps you take your mind off of anxiety?

Anything goes, just keep within HW rules tongue

Sam :)

Sam, good morning! This is a great question, and I look forward to hearing everyone's responses. Unfortunately, I am creatively and artistically challenged, lol! However, I am an avid book reader. So, I try to immerse myself in a wonderful book..... Blessings, Julie

I am an artist, so I usually paint. I also wood burn and make jewelry. I notice that I paint more when depressed, I don't know if that counts as anxious. Though they seem to go together. But I use a lot of black. I always said that it was to that the colors would stand out more, but now I am beginning to wonder. I often paint tigers and wolves with the black background. And somehow I feel that makes them feel safe. Go figure...

I haven't been in the mood to do my art lately, but my depression is in remission, as my pdoc says. That is good. I just hope that it stays that way.

Good topic, it really got me thinking.

Hugs, Karen

Well, like Julie, I too am aristically challenged. I love sitting down to a good book and try imagining myself in the situation rather than the main character. To me, there is nothing like reading a good vampire novel or a historical book of some kind.

Like Julie and Aurora I love books and I always carry one with me.  I tried to knit once and the person trying to teach me was just in shock at how bad I was I think.  lol   Everyonce in awhile I do think it is fun to scrapbook or take pictures of my son.

I also love to read tons of books and online stuff, lol. I am very creative on other levels as well when I can keep my mind focused. I bought a lapidary machine a couple of years ago and I cut semi precious gemstones that I find cheap in bulk or come across while hiking a local river here :) Tons of agates, moonstones and Native American artifacts here. . . We found a burial spot about 6 years ago that people were robbing and it made me so sad from the lack of respect.

Anyway :) Karen that is so cool all the artistic stuff you do. . . I wish I had that kind of talent! And Kitt, I also love to handle projects when I have my head screwed on straight instead of in "fifty" directions :)

Hope everyone is having a good day or at least a calm one :)

Like many others, I have a huge passion for books... So much so that I not only enjoy reading... But I also enjoy writing.

Currently, I'm working on several of my own writing projects... Two short stories... three novels... And one fanfiction....

Generally, it is best to work on one project at a time... but... I can't seem to help myself... I get so many ideas...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.
