Our chat schedule does not seem to be working for everyone, so let's do another times poll and double check the best for all :)

Just give an estimate, and I don't know when it would be better for members on the other side of the world. . . I'm leaning towards the evening, cause I think that it would be morning in Australia?  Speak up everyone, because I want it to be fair and convenient for all :)

Hi Sam.

I missed chat today as I was sleeping.  I'm sick with pink eye and sinus and double ear infection.  Yuck.  I even set my alarm so I would get up for at least a while and be able to get on here but slept right thru the alarm.  I am soooo sorry I missed it.  I wanted to be there today very much as I work again next weekend and won't be able to make the timeframe for the chat.

Early evenings would be best for me.

How are things going for you by the way?

Afternoon and evenings are usually good for me.... Mornings aren't good for me on a Saturday because I have a tendency to... ya know... sleep in... //^_^\\'... I slept past the chat time today... Sorry!!!

Sam,

I am so sorry I dropped the ball on yesterday's chat as I was going to get it started............but as I sent you in email, my sister was taken back to surgery and I was up at the hospital as she went to surgery at 4:30 AM on Saturday Morning.  It may have been my fault as I was not online to get it going.

As far as other times.............I am willing to set up other times but cannot commit to evenings  as that is the only time I spend with my hubby..................from 7 P.M.- to 10:00 P.M. Central Standard Time...........USA. cool

I can sure set up whatever the consensus is. :-)

This is just a rough estimate and only a possibility if that is what everyone wants, but we need to make sure and please do give us your opinion all members so this can be figured out, even if it's to post here and say that you aren't interested in chat, cause that's okay :) We are not here to judge or push. . . But I do appreciate your help on this everyone. This has been fun chatting with those that log in. I've enjoyed it so much :)

Anyway I would appreciate more participation because Kitt has already taken a lot of her time to post a chat schedule for the next few months, and I'm just concerned about not many people being on there. . . We could just wait a couple of weeks to see how it goes, while waiting for some of our other members that are on holiday and dealing with issues to come back :) Any ideas?

I think this thread should stay bumped until we get more input :)

If I could be three people, all three of us would participate, Green Grove....... Provided all three of us aren't sleeping and trying to steal the covers from each other... //^_^\\'.... *I'm sorry! I've been really tired lately*

I stopped by the Chat yesterday, but no one was in there, I waited for a bit and then got off line and didn't check again. Sorry if I missed any of you. I think the chat is an excellent idea.

I only get on the computer in the mornings on the weekends as I have all my honey do stuff to do in the afternoons, and always try to have quiet time in the evening with my husband. So if its later in the day, then I will have to skip the chat completely. Oh well!!!

IMHO

Weekends on the site are some of the quietest times I have noticed and Saturdays are frequently the day members do get out to socials, shopping, visiting family and yes even sleeping in.

The Depression Chat is on Tuesday afternoons but the people working cannot get to that one either.

It is really tough to get a concensus............but I do agree with  Sam, post if you are not interested in chat as all comments are important in deciding whether to keep a scheduled chat on the calendar.

Chat rooms are open 24/7 for members who want to get together and chat.  You can just post a note in the forums that you will be in a chat room if anyone wants to chat, join you. cool

Please post any questions about chat in this thread too.

Thank you

Kitt

Afternoons are best for me. Again, I forgot the chat on Saturday!! That makes me soooo mad! I'm going to have to post notes all over the house so I don't forget.

Kitt, why did your sister go back in to surgery?? Poor thing.......hugs and prayers are being sent to her!

It is a possibility to keep chat open for more hours on Saturday and we all can just pop on and off as we can?

Just a thought from a sleep deprived man. . .

Dear Family,

I am going to take the bull by the horns here and at this time we will be leaving the chats that are scheduled on Saturday Mornings in place without changing times.

As many of our people are on so many different schedules and many of our mods are not available to participate in chat, we will let it run it's course with the dates set up.............

After that I do not feel that tying up moderator's time for 4 hours on a Saturday is fair to them to lead a  chat for just a few members.  You are always welcome to use the chat rooms to set up your own chats with other members..............just tell them to meet you in the A & P chat room.

Sam had graciously accepted the responsibility to lead but in reality this is not fair to him as he has other duties on the farm etc.

I have spent much time putting up the calendar and also I am involved with the Depression Chat.

I hope each of you understands that we tried but without more interest and help from others this is just to much to do at this time in my life.

I thank you in advance for your understanding.

Bless you,

Kitt

I agree with Kitt 101%. We should just leave things as they are and we'll see how it goes after the chat schedule is completed. It is hard to cater to everyone's needs when we have members all over the globe, plus their personal lives. . .

We'll just keep the course we are on, and like Kitt said, if you all want to chat, you are always welcom to hop on at anytime :)

Have a nice day!
