Hi All

I am experiencing high level's of anxiety at the moment and all the symptoms that come with it and cant seem to settle my sleep is all over the place I did not get any last night and feel burnt out. I am still battling the booze and suppose I see it as a way of escaping my problems which is wrong as off me, I know some off you will say I need to stop and I agree but its hard and I think I need help to do it. My depression is also bad and im probably making it worse by drinking. I know that I have taken a down turn over the last few months but I am doing my best to sort it out and have been doing moodgym and reading my handouts from my therapist regarding CBT but struggling to understand it and need some help so looking forward to starting the CBT proper at the end of March.

Hi there...I just wanted to let you know it has been 57 days since my last drink and my anxiety has decrease substancially. I drank to escape and I thought I needed it. I guess just to get by from one day to the next. I needed it to sleep, I needed it to pick myself up, I needed it to forget. The thing I have found out only after quitting is that it was a major reason for not sleeping, for not feeling good about myself and keeping me in the past....Free yourself from the booze trap and I promise you you will feel free...Free to heal. Your CBT will have much more effect if you are sober. Stop punishing yourself and start taking care of yourelf...YOU are worth it!!! Gillxx

You have been going through so much lately that it is no wonder you feel like you do. I hope things start to look up my friend. Please list all of your questions about CBT and other things here so we can help you.

Take care!
