I've been in and out of my doctors office since my physical in December. Lately I'm there every week, sometimes twice, and I'm starting to feel like I'm going too often. I had some lab work done that came back with high results and so we're trying to get that sorted out (since of course I've looked it all up and learned what awful things can happen) but at the same time I just feel like I'm ALWAYS there. I'm sure lots of people have frequent visits but I just feel like I'm always going in for something. Its frustrating that they can't address some of it over the phone so I'm not constantly having to go in. Anyone else feel like this?

I have a 33 year history with Crohns Disease. There are times I feel like I live at my doctors office. If I am not going in for some kind of followup then its going in to pick up one of the many meds I take. I feel your pain.

Hi

I can relate to you on this one as I find I goto the doctors a lot as well. I have GAD so I struggle with anxiety and depression and take daily medication and have been through therapy to deal with this and feel I need to speak to my doctor on a regular basis as things may change also a good doctor should be monitoring your progress to see how you are getting on with your symptoms and medications. Try not to look things up on the web as you can end up convincing yourself that you have all sorts of things .

I have some weeks that I feel I have been to the doctors more then I like but they were necessary.  Our physician will usually call and discuss labs if their is a problem and we also have online access to our medical records so messages will be left online for us.

Thanks

Kitt

It's gotten to the point now that I'd probably rather suffer than go to the doctor's office. //^_^\\'
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Celey, I am so sorry you are needing to run to the doctors for me it is always an expense too.  for meds and visits.

I know exactly how you feel.

Hugs

But my doc is a B****. One time i was in her office twice in a week and the 2nd time i was in there she was like "long time no see" idk what her problem is! she's supposed to be there to HELP ME. thats her job.

im considering switching doctors. rolleyes

I know what you mean. I have been in and out so many times during the past 2 months regarding my anxiety disorder. Physical therapy, regular Dr., ER (twice) and therapist twice. My first attacj occured in 11/07 and I went into ER thinking I was having a heart attack and went through series of tests that came out OK. Was fine for a year until xmas 08. Now its been like downhill since! I am so bad that I usually feel the attack coming on in the evening and drive and sit in ER waiting room thinking I am having a heart attack! This I have done at least 5 times during past month! Once even slept in my car oustide ER! Sad thing is I feel I can only discuss this here and not with other friends and family but glad to see I am not alone. I am a true believer that time heals everything.
