Hi everyone, I am a member over at the bipolar area and have a question you guys may be able to help with.

My new doctors have switched my medications and I really do think they are helping. I had my follow up apointmnet yesterday and becuase I still have alot of anxiety (I suspect its more due to getting used to the new drugs, I didn't have it prior to the medications) they've given me a script for Vistaril. I've never even heard of it, I found it is an anti-histamine and is used for anxiety (and Dr said it would help me sleep).

Has anyone tried it? What should i expect from it?

Thanks everyone!  :)

Vistaril ( hydroxyzine ) is used as a sedative to treat anxiety and tension. It does work well for many people to help you sleep.

I hope it works for you.
