Good Morning Family

I thought I would roll out a few days of Roll Call as I have some new questions.............

Today's Question:

What’s a simple activity that consistently makes you happier?

This may sound silly, but reading. I just LOVE to read. It gets my mind off of me and my troubles, and takes me to another place..... Blessings, Julie

Julie,

We are alike.  I love to snuggle up on the counch with a good novel and let myself relax.

It is a great way to leave you anxiety behind.

I use to read like crazy, but since I am busier in my life now I don't have as much time for it. But the activity that makes me the happiest is just simply being at home with my husband. I always feel so calm and safe when I am with him. He helps to chase the anxieties away.

Kitt, that just what I'm getting ready to do! My Crohn's is bad today, and my anxiety is TRYING to rear it's ugly head. So, in a little while, I am going to go to bed with my cat and a good book, and hopefully take a nice afternoon nap!:-) Blessings, Julie

I love to read as well. . . New books are great for the discover, while old ones are like visiting a long lost friend :) I also love to spend time outdoors. Nature is one area of life that still makes me feel the extreme awe of life like I did as a kid.

Julie, I hope you get to feeling better!

Your Bro Sam :)

Sam, nature is wonderful! I need to go and buy some bird seed. I find it so relaxing to sit outside and watch the different birds coming to the feeder.:-) Blessings, Julie

For me, it depends on what I'm reading... If the book is really emotionally intense and ends on a sad note, it'll usually make me feel worse... not better.

Something that consistently makes me happy, though... is looking at Pugs all dressed up silly clothing... They're sooooo cute. :)
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Oh I love to read. Though hubby has to preread books for me to make sure they are ok for me to read. He can read a stephan king book in less then 3 days. It takes me a week..lol But I'm in a not able to read stage.

I'm a gamer. So my biggest and most fun thing to do right now is play World of Warcraft. Been playing it now for 4+ years.
On the side I have a candle bath and body business. So I love to create new scents, and designs. And push my imagination to the limit. It keeps me busy and my mind workin in the right directions. But I ran out of wax and some supplies. So I've had anxiety filled days for the last 3 weeks. Wax is here today and I can get back to work!

I read when I'm feeling stressed, it helps to make me forget my worries somewhat. Unless its a really tense thriller in which case I get so wound up I can't relax at all. LOL.
Also I hang out with my horses and groom them, they've been getting a lot of that lately and I find it so calming just to hang out in their stalls and fuss over them.
