Hi, I'm new and am receiving a lot of help from your posts. My neice who suffers from Panic Attacks and PTSD also has changed to Effexor and wants me to try it and 200mg of Zoloft after 15 years, is no longer working. I have of course conferred with my Dr., but would like your imput as well, how easy is it to get off Zoloft and on Effexor? How do you reduce the mg safely with no side effects? I have had disastrous results trying to go to Lexapro and Cymbalta and I don't want this to happen again. Thanks for any imput. idea

Hello, Rosegarden7, and welcome.

I'm glad you've already found the forum helpful; it's been a Godsend for lots of us.

I don't know anything about either of those meds, but you're certainly right to have your doctor on board when considering a change. If your Zoloft is no longer working (did I read that right?), you're smart to check on other alternatives.

Good luck!
