Hi all.. apologies from the start... I don't know how to put into words, and I hardly remember after the fact..
46 and feeling out of control.
I have narrowed the craziness down to the date.. and this is what I call PMS.
Extreme paranoia, Tension and anxiety.
I feel as if I am not me
thoughts running ramp id and cant control or retain one of them
SO short tempered
confused, almost delusional
did I say paranoid??
everyone sees this.
everyone notes this.
it is ruining me.
I can't keep a thought
I run ramp id
my knukles are white and I don't breath.. until I remind myself too..
I'm scared, broken
but I'm tough and wont let you in
who am I???
Please tell me...

Hi Louise,

First.....take a deep breath. Take a long, deep breath. I want to make sure I understand your post: Do you think you are having anxiety because of PMS, or are there some things stressing you out that you want to get off your chest?

This is a good place to talk to people. You will see from the other messages that most of us feel anxious and out of control sometimes. Do you want to talk about it?

Hello Louise Martino

A warm  welcome to HealingWell.  I am so sorry you are feeling so much anxiety but it feels to me like your sx are extreme to be all PMS. Just my opinion  :)

Any chance you could make an appointment with your physician for a good  medical screening exam to make sure you do not have a  medical condition going on ?

I know you will be hearing from more of our wonderful members and again welcome.

Hi Louise

Welcome to healingwell this is a great forum, I suffer with anxiety and have some of the symptoms you have. I agree with Kitt and would recommend you go and speak to your doctor and get a full health screening to find out what's going on. We are here for you so keep posting and tell us how you are getting on.

Hi unhappy32.

First and foremost I feel you may reconsider your screen name and change it to HappyGoLucky. The name would cause you more anxiety - unhappy. Stay Positive and you will have no problems in life.

This reminds me of something I read about attitude.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she only had 3 hairs on her head.

"Well, " she said," I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only 2 hairs on her head. "H-M-M, " she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." Sso she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up and looked in the mirror and noticed she only had 1 hair on her head. "Well", she said, "Today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEAH" ssshe exclaimed. "I don't have to fix my hair today"!

Attitude is everything

Hi and welcome to HW!  I, too, have much more intense anxiety and odd feelings with pms.  It's miserable and I certainly feel for you in all that you are going through.  I'm in my early 40's, and have been told that I'm also in peri-menopause which may be something you may want to look into as well.  Hormonal changes can really start to fluctuate and cause craziness in our forties.  I'd check it out with your doctor and see if that's what's going on and if anything can be done.  Keep posting here, I know we are not the only ones who are put through the wringer during pms, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hello, Louise! Hang in there - anxiety that is related to our cycles is awful, but thank heavens it does let go from time to time. I agree with others who encourage you to get checked out by you doctor. There was a thread on this forum quite a few months back about PMS and anxiety - if you type those keywords into the search box atop this page, you will probably find it.

I hope you're feeling better - less paranoid, short-temptered, scared, and broken. Talking with others about it can help, so keep posting if that's the case for you.

Hello! I think you need to see a therapist to figure out what you may be suffering from. There are medications for every possible diagnosis. Like others on here said, slow down. Stay in the present moment and do relaxation techniques. Good luck!

I agree with Aries.... You definitely sound like you need to see a therapist...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.
