I haven't been on here as much as when I've first joined, I try to come to the boards at least once a week and read the threads even if I dont post. I havent been really active because 1. I've been really involved with school (biology (lab) is stressing me and kicking my butt, but I have A's in the other 4 classes! Yay!), and 2 I realized that my anxiety has actually been more under control when I dont come to the boards and read about the stressors and negative things in other's life because I'm the type that if I read or hear how bad someone is feelings, I take on the same symptoms, or start thinking that could happen to me, so I'm really trying to keep positive but I'm still going to give my input and support where I can because you guys were the one's that have helped me deal with this problem, more than anyone I know. I went to the dr. in Feb. she totally blew off everything that I told pertaining to the anxiety such as the aches and pains and the emotional state of mind, going back in May and hopefully she'll be a bit more attentive. Family is totally stressing me out to the point where I realized that I'm going to have to sacrifice my education for a while and go back to work full time to get myself and my son away from the negativity floating throughout this house because I promised myself this year I was going to be a more positive person. Other than that big issue I've been keeping a good lid on my anxiety still dealing with the warped thoughts though, can seem to figure out how to keep them away unless I constantly had my ipod in my ears. Lyn Kitt, Nikki, know you have been going through some things, you're in my thoughts and prayers, I try not to read the threads because of what I mentioned earlier, but I have read bits and pieces and hope all is well and improving, especially nikki. wink

Hi Mizzbeeutiful,

I know we don't know each other (yet!) but it's nice to meet you. I noticed on another thread here that you have really had your hands full with school, parenting, work, etc.. I have a lot of admiration for everything you're doing, especially considering that you are dealing with anxiety issues on top of it all. I hope that things will settle down for you at home, and hopefully you'll be able to get back to your education as soon as possible. Best of luck with your doctor, too, when you go back to see her. It's always so important that we can be heard and understood.

Hey, Mizz! Long time no hear from! Biology kicked my rear end, too. I ended up with a "C" which ruined my GPA. But, what can u do? Take it easy with school and other things that you can control. I'm glad you've been feeling better though!

Thanks Raniah and Aries! Hopefully I will get my home situation under control because I'm done with about 75% of my required courses and it would be terrible to have to quit just as I ready to enter into my nursing classes finally get out of that school! Aries I think Biology is going to ruin my GPA if I dont get into tutorial or something because I still have 2 more courses of Biology to take :-( but I'm going to push through and keep my head in the books and away from the computer screen so much and I'll make it through, going to keep my mind on the positive!!! Hope you guys are well!

Mizzbeeutiful,

Good for you for having that commitment to staying positive. Definitely avoid the triggers when you know what they are; we'll miss you, but we understand! Moving out of your current living situation is harder, but you'll do the right thing, and I'm really proud that you have clear ideas about what's best for you right now.

I hope your doctor is more attentive next time. Take your time, and tell her exactly what you need to say. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hello MizzB,

So good to hear from you and I am glad you have less anxiety.  I agree, sometimes we read to much and the negative sx will start to rub off on you. You must do what is best for you my friend.

I am sorry to hear your going to put your education on the back burner for a bit but perhaps that is a wise move.  I understand what it feels like to live in a negative household. It brings you down just when you are feeling good.  If only we could all have sunshine on a cloudy day.

Love to you and we are always here,

Kitt
