Hello

I am new here and I want to say hello. Recently I have been feeling very wierd lately. Im starting to think that I might be having anxiety problems. I havent really felt like doing anything with friends or family. I really dont like to be around that many people right now. Im sorry im just rambling but this is not the normal me. I have looked at several anxiety websites and it seems like this is my problem. I am very interested in getting to know everyone here.

Thanks John

Welcome, John!

This is a very good site for support and insight. Do try to have a conversation with your doctor about what's going on also.

Hi, John! As Maz asked, is there something you can attribute your symptoms to? Have you moved recently, gotten married, lost a job, had surgery, etc? It sounds like you may be a bit depressed, also.

I'm not a doctor, but I suggest thinking about what may have started all this. Seek a really good therapist. Find something you enjoy doing and spend time on it everyday. If you look over this forum, you'll find some good resources that may help you, too.

Let us know how you're feeling! Carol

I want to thank everyone for such a warm welcome. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am very busy person and my career is very stressful. Really 90% of the time I am working and I think I just need some me time. That might be the root of my problem, but with this crazy economy its hard to take it easy. You know its a dog eat dog world. Thank you again for such a warm warm welcome. John

Hello John,

There is some great info in your link that you have in your signature.  It really is good advice and I hope you are trying some of the ideas in that article.

I am partial to "Vent your problems".  The one thing that concerned me about the article is that it is anti-medication use so I would caution readers to remember that each person is different and many members need their medicaitons.

From our guidelines, Use good judgement.  NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged via the forums or chat rooms to replace necessary, personal consultation(s) with qualified health or medical professionals to meet your individual health or medical needs.  Remember that what's right or has worked for one person may not be what's right for you.

Thank you for sharing with us John.  I hope you can reduce some of the stress in your life.

Sincerely,

Kitt
