As many of you know, we have all been following Kitt's sister Beverly in her battle with Cancer. We have shown support and encouragement in the thread that is now 9 pages long! (just proves how much we love our Kitt!)

If you have not checked in recently, Beverly has passed and is now at peace- I wanted to start a separate thread specifically to console and encourage Kitt as she battles this truly deep loss. This is a woman who has lost 2 sisters, and a brother in a short amount of time, and yet Kitt makes time EVERY day to come to HW and give advice, support- regardless of the burden she carries.

She is far too humble to want accolades- i simply want to recognise what a gift we have here in AP with Kitt, and send her all the love in the world now that Bev is gone and Kitt faces the next phase of grief and pain.

Kitt- you have helped me more than you will know. You have become an exceptionally close friend, and through this entire period, you have always had time to email me to see how I was doing, when it was you who was suffering so.

I pray that you may find some peace and comfort now the immediate battle is over. I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious sister- if she was anything like you, she was a hell of a lady. You inspire me, and motivate me to keep going, even when the going gets tough.

You are beautiful. You are never alone.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss

Kitt, I know there are no words to help you, but please know I'm thinking of you and sending healing strength. Beverly's long painful journey is ended, but yours continues. I hope the love and support of your friends will help you through this time.

Words can't even begin to expess how sorry I am.  I wish I could be there to wrap my arms tightly around you!  Beverly is in peace and will no longer suffer.  She will be with you and your family and you will always feel her love.

I had a poem called "Afterglow" put on prayer cards when my Mom died.  I believe this is how our loved ones would like to be remembered.  When I read it, it brings me comfort and I pray it does the same for you....

AFTERGLOW
"I'd like the memory of me,
To be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
& bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done."

Kitt, lean on us.  We will hold your hand through this difficult time!
God Bless

Mary

Kitt, I am so sorry for your loss. A sister is a precious thing. I remember when my parents passed away, it was a strange mix of relief for them and so much pain for me. I know you will draw strength from your friends and faith. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kitt, my arms are wrapped around you giving you a big hug.  I am sooooo sorry to hear about the loss of your sister.  Words cannot express how saddened I am for you.  I know she meant the world to you.  I feel like I got to know her here.  Heaven has received a precious and wonderful gift (your sister).  May you know that I am praying for you and thinking about you and as you mourn her loss, may you also remember all the special times with her.  May you also know we are here for you and wishing you peace and a whole lot of love.

Dear Friend,

It has been a rocky day and I have come here and read the wonderful posts and I thank you.  My niece was on the phone several times from the funeral home where she was making arrangements but needing info like how to spell our Mother's name and what was her middle name as now I am the keeper of the history.

I have read all your words of love and support and I have cried alot today but I have also just taken the day off from much else.  I did take a nap as I did not sleep well  last night.

I searched online FTD sites for funeral boquets and am waiting to hear what colors my niece would like me to order.

I have been fortunate and grateful to share my sister with all of you.  She was one awesome sister and brave lady all the way.

My love to each of you,

Kitt
