I know it has been mentioned in previous posts, but I'd like to get people's opinions of it. I looked on the net, but wanted to see what people who actually took it thought about it. Does it work? How does it make you feel? Do you get any side effects from it? I sometimes feel very anxious and I would rather use a natural remedy than valium if possible. Does it make you feel calm, sleepy? Can you still drive after taking it? Thanks!

Hi there i haved used rescue remedy for the last couple years. I find it works well for my mild anxiety and use it in conjunction with sleep rescue at night. It will not have the same effect as a valium of course and will not make you feel sleepy at all. My nephew had great results when he used it everyday in the morning and at night and used it during the day if he had a bout of anxiety. Good luck!

Make sure you ask a doctor before starting any new herbs/vitamins/medications. Just to be on the safe side. Some of them have side effects that affect people differently.

Hey there,

Long time since I have seen you,   nice to hear from you.  I agree with Aries on this one as the site for this product makes it sound like it is a wonder cure.  It even works for your pets.

On HealingWell we strive to seek a balance between alternative and traditional approaches. I feel strongly, both approaches have value for anyone seeking healing.

Hugs,
Kitt

Hi! It really does work for your pets, and humans, but probably not to the extent you would hope. I started using it after it was recommended by my vet for my dog. I do feel a bit more calm after taking it. I use it when I am waiting for my immodium to kick in. Xanax works better but just for taking the edge off a little it is worth a shot. My doc said it was safe. Only issue is that the base is alcohol and it has a bit of a whiskey taste. If you are a recovering alcoholic or anything I would stay clear.
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I take xanax prn for situational anxiety (aka no easy bathroom access).

Oh, there is now an alcohol free remedy sold "for pets" but I'm sure it is ok for humans too.

Thanks for all your advice. I will call my doc to ask him if it's ok to use if I decide to try some. Hi Kitt! I'm around, I just having been posting much. Sometimes I have to stay away from this forum because it can make me anxious when I read about what's going on with everyone else :-). I try to put my 2 cents in when I have something to contribute though. Hope all is well with you. Sorry to hear about your sister.
