I went to the dr's office on Wednesday morning about 10:30am.. I told one of the girls at the front desk I felt like I was going to faint or black out. I feel so out of it. I didn't realize that my anxiety attacks came back. I could not figure out how I could have a 97.1 temperature and feel sweaty? I am still sick with this cold or whatever it is? I'm tired of it.

I don't feel like myself. I feel different I can't tell you. I am however drinking some Gatoraid and eating toast. I feel better at times. Then other times I feel like I can't talk right and tell people what I want or is going on?....

You know anxiety can really cause these sensations. Actually your symptoms describe my anxiety attacks pretty well. I am hot then cold, feel weak and dizzy, and I also have diarrhea and nausea.

Try to keep yourself hydrated. My doctor suggested taking a sip of gatorade every five minutes. Maybe try sipping some chicken broth too, that seems to help me feel better even quicker. Do you have any of the fast acting anxiety meds (Xanax, Ativan or Klonopin) available? If so, I would definetly take it. If not, you might want to talk to your family doc about this.

Good luck,

Oh Nanners you are so sweet. I have to tell you I have not had an anxiety attack in over 16 months. I use to get them while driving in my car years ago. I'm also a diabetic to and I was trying to keep my blood sugar up or around normal. I drank a little V-8 Infusion drink that morning. I think that's what saved me on that end of it as I was a little able to tell the nurses and dr. and staff what I wanted or needed or that I didn't know what was going on.

I am on the Gatoraid right now but I really can't eat anything yet but toast.

I've been drinking all day today and I'm still dizzy. I'll be glad when my ears start popping then I won't be so dizzy and feel so crappy.

If you have a head cold, that can make you lightheaded or dizzy. It's great you're taking care of your diabetes. Feel better soon!

What a head cold it is to. I so can not wait for it to go away. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. There are a few other things I'm going to be discussing with him or we are going to have a fight about my medical care.

Hence the name:

Hara,

I am glad you are going to be seeing your physician.  You are advocating for yourself so please do  be assertive when you visit your physician.  I sometimes make a list of the issues I want addressed.

Hope your feeling better soon.

I went out and got some OJ and was drinking it most the night. I felt a little better this morning but I'm still going to the dr.
