Do you have a family history of heart disease? Remember that you have to be an advocate for your heath. Bug the heck out of them for the correct tests/blood work to rule out heart issues. Hang in there.

I remember answering that post and I think you have to advocate for yourself when you go to the ER or the physicians office.

I would like to  see you follow through with your physician in the clinic and look for a cause for your sx .  ER's only deal with the acute emergency and are not set up to run a lot of tests if the obvious cause, in this case your heart checks out ok.

Good luck and please do follow up with your clinic or see a specialist if you continue to have the racing heart issues after today.

I do have family history of heart diease ( my father ) . Bbut they ran 2 diffrent heart test and they both came back fine . He was concern that they found a knot like thing under my skin on my face close to my right ear . He told me he is more worried about that than my heart . He said it was from my salvia glan and something about it may not be working like it needs to be and thought that thyroids may have to do alot with whats going on with me . He refer me to a ENT but the only problem is i have no insurance and we are broke due to my hubby hours getting drop as well ... So now i am lost on how to get things done cause doctors want so much money . I am tap out on borrowing so cant do that either . But just to let everyone know i am fine .. for the moment ... Thanks for writing back ... I love my healing well buddies

Hi Jenny...Hyper thyroid can absolutley cause a racing heart and breathlessness.  I am not suggesting that you have this as obvioulsy I'm not a doctor but if you end up going to the doc that is the first test I would ask for.

I do not have health insurance either...do you have a county clinic or a place that bases their fees on income where you live?  Some cities/towns have clinics run by the United Way that offer services for very little money, or donations.  I have gone to them several times.

Feel better and don't let another doctor label you as just anxious without testing you for the obvious.

good luck

Yes definetly the thyroid can cause symptoms like that. To get your thyroid tested all it takes is a blood test. When I was hyperthyroid (overactive) the treatment was a medication I had to take for about 18 mos until it went back to the normal range. I hope you can find a way to get into a doctor soon and get tested. Good luck!

GLad you were able to find someone. HOpefully they can get some tests done and figure everything out. Most Dr's will let you make payments on a balance if you explain it to them. Take care of yourself first, and worry about the $$ later. Your life can't be measured in $$. :-)
