It was interesting, I was off drinking for I think like 330 days was it... then the past ... 2 weeks I drank 3 nights, binged of course... last time though, ever since then... not that I'm addicted again because I know not to do it, I'm just feeling odder than usual... mentally I feel blasted and messed up... losing my old place to chat was difficult as well, like I feel like I'm slowly dying inside... went to a neurologist but that didn't help much, only gave me Magnesium Oxide for my headaches... that I take Vidocin doesn't help me I guess... I don't know anymore.

Dear Paulos,

I am sorry you are in a bad place right now but I am wondering if perhaps you would stick with us and let us help, you would do better.

You know all the right things you need to do to get past your problems with Alcohol and I am sorry you have had a set back but pick yourself up and get to an AA meeting.

Think about what you have to look forward to. Write a list and put it where you can see it. Try lending an ear to someone in need. Be especially kind to people with whom you have only one encounter—a waiter, a taxi driver, a store clerk. You may have only one chance to be kind.

Start to help others and you will find great satisfication in  your accomplishments.  It will give you a purpose to keep moving forward. With each post you respond to here you are helping others.  Come here instead of taking that next drink.

I wish you peace.

Kitt

AA: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Yesterday is gone forever, tomorrow is not yet here and Today is really all we ever have. We may have the memories of yesterday but it is over and so we do not need to continue to live in it. Well tomorrow is not here so it might be nice to set goals for tomorrow, or dream of what we would like it to be, but again it is not here yet so we can not live in it until it gets here. So we can only live in the here and now of Today. What a wonderful gift.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

Paulos, giving up is not an option. You must be strong. Are you seeing a therapist? It might be a good idea, if you can, to check yourself into a rehab center or go to a hospital and tell them how you're feeling.

You are obviously depressed. You need medication and a good professional to talk to. You need to stop all negative self talk. Ktt had some great suggestions for getting your mind on other things. Remember, there's always someone who has it worse. These difficult times will pass.

Please, call someone and get some help!
