I dont know with others but music makes me forget things and helps me . I found a perfect song that i swear is me ... Everyone has that song that seems to been written about them .. I wanted to dedicate my song to all that suffer from A/p attacks . I dont know how to post it on here but maybe i can tell you and you can find it and listen to it . Its by Miley Cyrus ..."The Climb " Dont know why but i just feel better after listening to it ... My niece is a huge fan of hers and i let her play her cd and heard that song and been hook since lol ... So whats your song that makes you feel better ?

I have a few of them.

I really like Ordinary Day, by Great Big Sea. It makes me feel happy and thankful

Wish  You Were Here by Pink Floyd makes me feel calm.

Love love love  Three Little Birds by Bob Marley

For times I feel spiritual the old hymn Be Not Afraid makes me feel calm also, but sad.

Can't think of any other ones right now, but I'll have to check out Miley. My kids haven't gotten into her yet and I've been staying away because she's so darn commercialized. Does she actually have talent?

Kitt,

I'm with you I love Alabama. And Kid Rock =) I might be a "southern" gal. Or a dirt rat as we are referred to often.
I love Reba's voice when I feel sad.
I also love Black Eyed Pea's song Boom Boom Pow. Its up beat and fun to listen to

But I was also raised when booming base was the way to cruise. And hubby and I still bounce the house with good base every so often!

I like 8 Mile sound track.
When I am feeling just depressed I'll play Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" Because i swear she knew about how my ex- hubby was and some how wrote this song! He left me for a bleach blonde... and I caught him at the bar...lol

I am a BIG Plumb fan. I listen to this one when I'm having a panic attack and watch this clip when I can:

When I need a laugh I always turn to this one! My mom is from Birmingham Alabama and this is SO funny to me.

They actually sell the artists sketch picture as t-shirts at Hot Topic. I got one as a gift. Its funny because some people get it and others don't have a clue.

Good Question!! My "anxiety reduction song" is Little Wonders by Rob Thomas. I also love listening to Canon in D. Both of those together really help.

hi! great topic :) music helps alot with my anxiety especially a song that i can get really excited over and distracted from the panic attack LOL. the song lately that i have been listening too and loooooove and totally grounds me is INXS- don't change and one particular line that helps is "i'm standing here on the ground...the sky above won't fall down" actually here is how the song starts out which is pretty awesome:
"I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all direction
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark
For too long

Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me"

*sigh* such a great 80's tune~!

Three Little Birds by Bob Marley, best song ever and puts me in a little better mood no matter how cruddy I might be feeling.

Jenny - almost like fate, I was in the car getting my boys to daycare and the song "The Climb" came on. I got goosebumps. I see what you mean, great lyrics.
