I have suffered anxiety for little over 2 months now. First, when i had panick attack, i did not realize what was going on. Much later doctors were able to convince me i was suffering anxiety which probably got triggered due to GERD related Chest pain.
I saw a Therapist 3 times but gave up after she indicated i was not being honest in my answers. Unfortunately, i do not have any 'thoughts' or 'stress' or 'fear'. I just have physical symptoms of anxiety. I have seen many PCPs and therapist but no one has been able to give me a good explanation of what is going on.
Taking matters on my own hand, i have grabbed some wholefood pills from Sprouts. I suffer once every week with some symtpom but i realize that the intensity if less than last time... so i am hoping, it is gradually going away, on its own... what ever i had lost that 30 minute panic attack is gradually building back thru natural resources and 30 minute treadmill everyday. Keeping good eating habbits and sleeping at least 8 hours days. All that seems to be working.
If i still see need for further help, i would go to Accupuncturist ($70/session) but of course i will check out this CBT site.
I do take Ativan when needed (so far taken 3 times and not sure if it really helped).
