So basically I was hoping to see more success stories on here that would be like oh yes I overcame anxiety and things of that nature. The more I read the posts the more I see is that its something you have to live with. For me I cant say I know for a fact I have an anxiety disorder since I havent talked to a doctor about it. Well I have to a degree he said it was all stress induced which I could see. After I started having a more busy life and not constantly thinking about how I felt the better I got till the point it went away completely for two months. So I thought okay im good now, but I hurt my shoulder when I flipped my friends go-cart and i dont think my mind knows how to cope with stress anymore which is why i tend to feel anxious. Its been up and down since I hurt myself and I feel like if I can just get past this I will be okay again. Its not that i dont want to accept that I have an anxiety disorder its just that I feel like if I worry about it more and obsess over it the more likely it will turn out that way. Ive read that being stressed for long periods of time can cause you to be anxious. Before I knew the what the affects of stress on my body were I was on the internet all the time thinking I had this or that but one day i just started feeling better I think because I started sleeping more and knew I had a lot of people praying for me. So I can see that im rambling on but for me I think that inward thinking is what gets me the most which is hard to stop sometimes. So I just want to know that there is hope like it gets better with time but im seeing people that have had to live with it for 20 plus years so is it different for everyone?

Welcome to healingwell this is a great forum. Sorry to hear you are having problems with anxiety, I have GAD and Depression and have suffered with anxiety for as long as i can remember and im 34 now so for me it is something i am having a constant battle with. It took me a long time to accept i was suffering with mental illness and even longer to ask for help but I am glad i did as i am now sorting out my problems and waiting to start CBT therapy which i am hoping will help me deal with my anxiety a lot better, Have you considered CBT? It is proved to have great results with people who are dealing with anxiety disorders and i know a lot of members here have had great results with this kind of therapy. I hope things start to improve for you soon and keep posting to let us know how you are getting on.
