I am so down right now. I have no idea what is happening to me, my mind, my life....my everything. This weekend was so bad. Sat night my head just went for a whirl wind, I got so dizzy and so panicked. I was very nausues (SP) had horrible headaches, just wanted to do nothing but lay down and sleep, which is impossible because I have an 8 month old little girl. And it breaks my heart because she knows something is wrong with mommy and she doesn't understand, of course her father is there helping but she wants me. Then Sunday I done so so but still felt very dizzy and sick. So yesterday morning, on my way to work, I just totally lost it, my head was spinning so fast, i felt like I was going to loose my breathing...everything so instead of going in to work, I drove straight to my dr's office. They got me in and I was talking to the PA and she wanted to do some lab work, when I got up to walk to the lab, I just collapsed.I woke up in the ER. Of course they done all this blood work, chest xrays...etc....and came back and said that everything was okay that I was just a lil dehyraded (sp) which I don't understand because I drink plenty. I feel so lost and hopeless now. I still have this ongoing fever that NO ONE can seem to conquer and it leaves me in the dark.....I don't know what to do anymore. I just feel so disconnected from reality. I just need help, reassurance. I've lost the connection between what is anxiety and what is real..... cry

Hi Blessed

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time at the moment, Anxiety can cause so many symptoms all of which you describe in your post and i really feel for you as i have been in the same situation and it sucks. Do you take any medication? to help with your anxiety I would suggest you go and speak to your doctor and tell them what is going on with you at the moment and see if they can offer any help. I have had therapy in the past and found that usefull to talk to someone about my issues and im waiting to here a start date for some more. I hope things start to improve for you soon and keep us posted we are for you.

Best of luck to you and if you are able try and see if the therapist can see you sooner, don't be afraid to let them know it's an emergency and you need help....if they still can't see you for a few days, please just try all the basics to get through it, deep breathing, medication, self-talk, journaling, etc....whatever it takes basically.

Again, I wish you the best & I also have been there.

Lightheadedness, vertigo, are symptoms of anxiety. Passing out from it is very rare if it happens at all. Have you had your ears checked? A few times each year I wake up unable to walk without losing my balance. The first time it happened I was scared to death and went to the doctor. He said it was an inner ear thing and it would go away on its own. He was right. But it is scarey!

You've mentioned a fever that no one can diagnose. Is it a low grade fever? Again, I'm thinking of the ears. Please don't worry as that just makes things worse. As James said, try to see the therapist sooner. Tell them you are desperate.

I wish you the best of luck and PLEASE let us know what you find out!

Thank You all for your support. He did check my ears and didn't see anything wrong with them. My fever ranges between 100.2-102.5. And its really starting to scare me as I've had it for over a month now with no answers as to why. I have called the place where I'll be going to see a therapist to see if I could get in any sooner and they said that was the only appt they had avaiable. So I guess I'm left with no other choice but to wait it out.

See if you can find another therapist that will see you sooner. There are many out there. Usually a fever is a sign of an infection. I'm not a doctor or nurse, but I think that's true. Hopefully, Kitt will come on and verify that. Could it be a dental problem? You said this fever has been going on for over a month. At that time, was there an illness or surgery?

I can see how this would be worrisome. What have the doctors said to do about your constant fever?

How long have you been taking the ativan? Do you think that maybe the dizziness is a side ettect of this medicine? I can totally understand how you feel I have some sort of vertigo going on my doc said this is from my anxiety. It is crazy how anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms -some scary, some minor but all of them we can do without. I hope you feel better and remember were here for you.

The doctor ruled out an infection due to the mulitiple blood test that has been ran. I had a dental surgery back at the beginning of April but when I asked the surgeron about it he said that I was running a temp the day of the surgery, so I'm really not sure. I've been taking ativan for about a week and a half.

confused  Well, I'm stumped. I can't think of anything that may be causing the temperature. I would visit more than one doctor because eventually one doctor may find your problem (if there is one).

I take Ativan but it doesn't cause any side effects. It may be that you have to increase your Ativan dosage. Of course, that would mean discussing it with your doctor.

Don't give up!

Hi...just a thought but dehydration can cause a fever and you said one of the tests you had mentioned that you were a bit dehydrated.  You said you drink plenty, but what do you drink?  I used drink a lot of tea and hardly anything else.  I became dehydrated as it has caffeine in it and it acted as a diuretic.  I thought with all the tea and coke I drank in a day I could never become dehydrated...WRONG!  Now I make sure I drink plenty of water.  This is just a possibility, as your symptoms sounded so familiar to me.

I hope you get an answer soon.

Thank You Donna, well I used to drink alot of tea and diet soda's but once I started having anxiety and panic again I cut out all caffeine and started drinking water and juices. So I didn't think i would become dehydrated....but they said I was somewhat, so I can only take their word for it!
